🎉🎉 Just an update I tried the vegetable rice again in the cake tin and changed the measurements a little and it worked 🎉🎉
150g basmati rice
100g frozen mixed vegetables
250ml of hot water
Pinch of salt
The same time as temperatures
I’ll pop a picture up on the community page xx

I had the same experience as you and you made me laugh so much! I still did not succeed to make my rice. I gave up and transferred into a saucepan on the stove because the rice won’t cook. Lol.
I admire your determination.
Thank you for sharing❤

Hi lindtz that was fun to watch I do like to boil rice on the stove if I’m honest but for convenience I do use the microwave rice it’s much easier for me thanks lindtz don’t give up ❤️😊👍🏻

You are totally correct Lindz, metal is a conductor of heat and glass is an insulator so the heat doesn't transfer to the centre of the dish as well as it does in the metal container so you will find the food cooks round the outside faster than inside,I never use glass dishes in my air fryer, remember flower, it's not failure just a stepping stone to success, another really enjoyable video 💕Xx

Interesting method, and good to experiment. I cook my rice in the MV , takes 6 minutes on medium.

Thanks Lindz, this video has taught me a lot. I’m terrible at cooking rice. ❤

Instant pot is my choice for rice. 1 cup water, 1/2 cup basmati rice and 1/4 cup dehydrated mixed veg. Goes great with fish especially salmon! Thanks for the experiment Lindz. You don't know until you try. GG ❤Xx

Hi Lindz l have never cooked rice in a air fryer, glad you did this that was ashame about the rice with the frozen veg, has that has water in it but the other rice looks perfectly fluffy to 😊

Found on Facebook, one cup rice, two cups hot water, stir add to microwave for 12 minutes. Done!

I enjoyed that thank you. I must admit that my preferred method of cooking rice is on the hob. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes x

I've seen some Indian/Pakistani cooks making rice/biryani in the air fryer using the little tinfoil trays you get from take-aways (topped with tinfoil). Experiments galore! 🙂 And I'm a rice-cooker person - I have a little dinky one from Lakeland that's not much bigger than a coffee/spice grinder - so doesn't take up much space.

Lindz, when the Holidays get closer you may want to try your hand at turkey jerky. I actually prefer it to beef' It's not as tough and chewy as beef (Us grandpas have to baby our teeth!) and it's very tasty. 😉
