"Toph hadn't seen or talked to her parents since she ran away"

He a little confused, but he got the spirit.

Kinda sad Toph's  wish wasn't fulfilled:

A life changing field trip with Zuko.

Toph:My parents sheltered me
Zuko:My parents banished me
Aang:You guys had parents???

Toph was one of the few main characters in any show that made their first appearance in the middle of the series and immediately became awesome.

It’s upsetting that the comics weren’t consistent with her development. She really is the coolest character avatar has

“That’s okay, she’s wanted dead or alive.”
“No she’s not, I’m quite certain her father wants her back alive.”

"Tough situation"
"Rocky relationship with her daughters"

You made 2 earthbending puns in one minute. Nice

The creators of avatar originally wanted to have toph fight ozai but they didn’t want a 27 second finale

It's amazing how Kora (Aang reincarnated) Remembered Toph and when Toph realized who she was she called her Twinkle Toes.

And through it all, Toph never did get that life changing field trip with Zuko.

"Toph had a very ROCKY relationship with her daughters."

Lol the callback to the play episode.

“Toph was blind”
“Toph would constantly SEE people playing outside.”

Toph: temporarily leaves her school to take care of some business
Firebending teacher: It’s free real estate

It makes me really sad to think about Aang and others dying after we all basically watched them grow up. Like, I teared up when Toph called Korra twinkle toes because of her friend. I wish they made another series with the original characters still together going through another adventure as young adults

“Toph?” I believe you mean “Melon Lord.”

I forgot that toph had such a sad life before the gaang. The fact that she was polished to be a perfect daughter, plus how her parents didnt see her potential in things like being independent, and hid her existence by isolating her from the outside, its alot. Her and mai have that in common tbh. They both were born in high class families, brought up to be good daughters and controlled or told to follow a certain image and rules. I loved that mai and toph came out with different personalities yet still are logical, blunt and laid back.

Wholesome fact: toph can tell when people are lying, so when katara told her she was pretty, she was happy because she knew katara was telling the truth

Her calling Korra " Twinkle Toes " got me sobbing hysterically.

Toph being an equal match for Bumi is the high-point of her badassery as a child. (Besides discovering Metal-bending of course.)

1:31 "Toph would constantly see kids playing outside"
Toph: *blind
