Fred died while still laughing at a joke that Percy made, the first joke he'd heard Percy make in years.

The journey that Slytherin's locket took is astounding. From Marvolo, to Merope, to Borgin and Burkes, to Hepzibah Smith, to Tom Riddle, to the basin, to Regulus, to Kreacher, to Mundungus, Umbridge, and lastly the trio.

39:02 Funniest part was when when Peeves was determinedly trying to loosen a crystal chandelier, and McGonagall of all people happens to walk by, turn to him and whisper "it unscrews the other way"😂

The bond between McGonagall and Harry is so deep in the books. Especially in deathly hallows when Harry fakes his death McGonagall is the first to scream no in a grief stricken voice. Also “Why would Harry Potter try to get inside Ravenclaw Tower? Potter belongs in my house!” And who can forget when Harry uses CRUCIO on Amycus and McGonagall calls him “gallant” for it

Vid idea… all the unhinged things Hermione did that didn’t make it in the films 😅

the fact that stunning spells just bounce off of Hagrid is probably my favorite fact of the whole series

I love how Fleur during the scene with Bill in hospital wing says something like "I dont care how he looks like, I am beautiful for both of us" :D

I know there's a good chance someone else may have said it, but I just wanted to add something to the fact at 1:19:34 to make people appreciate Molly Weasley even more as a mother. when she gave Harry and Ron their watches for their birthdays, she gave Ron a brand new watch and gave Harry her brother's old one. The significance of this is that for both, the watch they each were given had more meaning than just the tradition. to Ron, the boy who was ashamed of his family's poverty and had to use a hand-me-down EVERYTHING, he was given something brand new, an item of noticeable value bought specifically just for him, whereas Harry, the boy born into wealth but with no true family still alive, he was given an heirloom, the sort of thing which has significance not by how expensive it is but by the sentimental value another has attached to it, and the kind of thing that is only given to though the previous owner regards as family. To simplify, Ron was given a watch that made him feel like he was important enough to deserve something all his own and not just a hand-me-down, and Harry was given one that made him feel like he was accepted as part of the Weasley's family

So now I'm waiting for your "Every difference between book and movie Hermione" video. Pretty please!

Morgan is basically a Harry Potter historian at this point 😂

I love how you cover all the special moments with Molly & Harry.  Their relationship was so sweet and it wasn't addressed enough in the movies.  As an adopted child, that relationship really resonated with me.  "Mom" isn't only the one that birthed you, it's the one that loves you unconditionally - Sometimes there's more than one.  Harry had Lily & Molly both.  BUT, you forgot about the scene between Harry & Cedric's Mom & Dad.  That scene was very pivotal to so many things.

Another thing I loved was that in half blood prince. Harry only uses half of the luck potion to persuade Slughorn. The remaining was used by the volunteering DA members who stayed behind to protect and patrol hogwarts when Dumbledore and Harry left to get the horcrux from the cave. All the patrolling students survived the fight because of that when the deatheaters attacked that night.

Peter didn't choke himself. The silver hand gifted by Voldemort recognized Peter's act of kindness and choked him to death.

Winky not being even mentioned in the movies was heartbreaking for me. She had such a sad arc in the book.

They also gave Kreacher Regulus's locket - that is what made his attitude towards the Golden Trio change - he wore it as a badge of honor - and lead the house elves into battle in Regulus's name.

If I remember right, Harry breaking Moody's eye off the door is what gave away that there were intruders in the Ministry

I love how canonically, the most efficient and successful defense against the dark arts teacher was literally an evil death eater.

Kreecher's redemption, where he becomes loyal to Harry after receiving Regulus Black's locket is one of my favorite parts in Deathly Hallows. It was so wholesome to see such a hateful character have some warmth rekindled in his cold old heart. I loved when the sent him to catch Mundungus, a mission that Kreecher could get behind. And I love how Kreecher started cleaning the house again and revealed that he is actually a skilled cook as well. It was so nice to see Number 12 Grimold Place become a little haven of warmth for Harry, Hermione and Ron.

In the incident over Hermione's teeth you didn't mention Snape. By the time he came along her teeth had grown down to her collar-bone. When Harry and Ron pointed out what Draco's spell had done, Snape responded, 'I see no difference', causing Hermione to run crying to the hospital wing. To me, that is a further addition to Snape's catalogue of sins.

19:13 it’s crazy to me and also so refreshing that you just so casually mention that you’re an alcoholic. I’m also struggling with alcoholism and trying to find my way into recovery, but simply don’t know what to do. I’m past the step of admitting it to myself, but, may I ask, how do you admit it so directly to others? I know being open about it is so important to recovery but I just haven’t been able to bring myself to be able to do that. I know this is extremely personal so obviously no pressure to respond, but may I ask what your journey was/how you were able to say that publicly so easily? (Xoxo love your content btw)
