In this video, I challenge a chess engine to a game of Chess! But with a twist, this engine has been build in the popular video game Minecraft!

Thanks to the amazing @KiddyKene for making this awesome project! I usually don't play this game, but even I was thoroughly impressed!

You can find his video here:
Making a Chess Engine INSIDE of Minecraft

I opened a discord! If you want to join and say hi, you can do so here:

I hope you enjoyed the video!

Seems like it's unsporting to look inside your openings opponent's brain while they're thinking

Minecraft chess engine praise and Dick van Geet slander; the Panda does it all! Also, you are definitely 100% right: This is really cool!

This is so cool! I love how it also works as an educational model for chess engines. It’s just such a cool concept

Btw, can you just increase the tick speed to make the commands faster?

Can you please make a video explaining the Sicilian opening? I’ve seen you explaining some of the ideas behind it in some other videos and the way you explain it is very interesting and easy to understand :)

This is wild. In a way it reminds me of my old Radio Shack 1650, which is over 40 years old, runs on 3 AA batteries, and takes like five minutes per move at the strongest level.

I love that the engine is just so bad despite working so hard. I wonder if it has some opening theory in it, but Kc3 was just not in there because of its rarity.
