The people who think the glampers where genuine. Really?! They scored a 4 because they were not provided luxury teabags! They moaned that could not used the bathroom facilities but yet never asked to change rooms.
In Emma's pub they complained that bed was not wooden and the modern furniture was not inkeeping with the history of the place. However complained that Shaban's place was style over substance for going the extra mile in keeping the decor in line with the building. Also, that the wooden bed was too small! Have they never been to a periodic building?! The wooden beds are tiny!!
They compared a shed with shared bathroom facilities for a total of £150 for a night to what Shanban was offering for an extra £36. Let face it, the majority of customers would pay the extra £36 just for a personal bathroom, the four poster bed, heating and access to just eat instead of a £35 diy hamper. Screw the glamping experience, it is just a no brainer.
I agree with Shaban that they should have put themselves in the shoes of the target market. The place that won was simply beautiful. And so was Shabans place. But I did agree maybe provide some more “luxury” products for guests. What a man 🎉
Sharban was 100% right to do what he did. It just shows that he could see what was going to happen and he's absolutely right. There's no way a glamping site should win over a luxury hotel with with almost £200 in toiletries alone.
Keep in mind those toiletries come with the room. You would be free to use all of those toiletries till they were completely empty. I think for a luxury hotel that is more than fair. In fact, £260 seems cheap. Going off the toiletries alone.
Sharban is a very clever man. He knows he may not have won but the amount of bookings he's going to get off what he did in this program. It's going to more than make up for not winning.
I've already seen a few people in the comments say they want to go and stay with him. Purely because of this they won't be the only ones.
Love Shaban.. intelligent astute man... ❤
They got away with their game playing far more than Emma-Louise did. But Shaban saw through both of them, hats off to that man 👏
