In union you have to play almost all the 80 mts, in US football you play 20 mts. Enough said.

You cannot say American football is tougher, when  they wear all  that protective gear.  No way.

American supermarkets are full of pads, not just for the ladies.

American football is nothing but stops and breaks and padding. Rugby is 80 minutes of full on sport with no breaks and only one half time interval.

The thing is in Rugby we actually learn how to properly tackle and get tackled, we learn about having the proper form, where in american football a proper tackle technique isn't seen as mandatory due to the pads and helmet protecting the players, i think this is the reason of why he said he'd rather take a rugby hit than an american football one

What he’s saying is that in rugby you make/ take a big tackle and do it again a few seconds later. The contact and physicality is relentless. In American football you make a tackle and have a rest for a couple minutes. Playing rugby is like being in a weekly car crash, it’s the tougher sport by far.

Rugby is harder , you can say what you want but its the Truth.

Rugby is rougher.

In Rugby every player must be able to run, pass, tackle & have the awareness to place themselves for offence or defense without sideline assistance. So that's the basics and then depending on if you are a forward or a back you add extra skills on top like kicking, scrums, contesting for line-outs, diving touch downs in the corner etc.
Broadly I would suggest that as a whole rugby players have more skills however NFL players may be more skillful in a specific skill, depending on their position.

The best thing is to hear from an Ex NFL player who transitioned to rugby.

Rugby

Ik people that play football and say it’s harder but are too scared to play rugby

It has been tested with G-force sensors on both Rugby and Football players, and Rugby is far harder than American Football.
Each hard tackle in both sports experiences a G-force equal to a car hitting a brick wall at 35- 40 mph. Depending on your position in Rugby, this can be anywhere between 5- 12 times per match. Whereas in Football it might be 2-4 times, with long breaks in between to recover.
As for the chess reference, it's Rugby that's like chess. It's the continuous movement of players into positions to beat the opposition. Whereas in Football it's one play, like checkers.

Nah rugby more aggressive

His crazy rugby is a dangerous sport ever…😂😂

Has to be Rugby   american football stops every few mi utes were as Rugby players go for 45 minutes before a break

Rugby is more discipline and American football is more reckless.. That's why they go crazy after their careers...

when I was in school rugby was compulsory

scrumming is no picnicking in a park the 1st row players do head position strats to mess with you and once you engaged, picture having 900kg pushing behind you and against you. As we view we have no idea how technical scrums are.

Rugby its like American football just for real men
