In this video I am out for a three day, two night canoe camping trip on the beautiful Norfolk Broads.
After an early start from South Walsham Broad, I head up to the River Bure and the impressive St Benets Abbey, standing proud next to the river. My journey then takes me up the River Thurne, a quick visit to Hunters Yard, past Potter Heigham and up to the head of the river at Martham Broad and the little village of West Somerton.
Eventually finding a camp spot next to the river, I set about making a stew for dinner and setting up a simple camp. Dinner, wine and the weariness of the long days paddle soon has me looking to my bed - a good rest before tomorrows exciting adventure.

Another peaceful and tranquil paddle/camp in the hallowed halls of Simon Adventures that I will watch many times over.

Heh, heh, “Everything now is covered in wine and smells lovely”. Simon, glad you enjoyed your paddle. We did too, thank you…from an old vet, retired in the US foothills of the Smokies.
