Today I'm painting this stormy sea & lighthouse, Newhaven Lighthouse being pummeled by waves from Storm Ciaran.

I'm using Payne's grey, raw umber, ultramarine, indigo and vermilion, with a little waterproof black fine liner for the lighthouse detail. I used a Ref. photo for Newhaven lighthouse on a sunny, calm day to get the lighthouse about right, and built up the storm around it! using my imagination. I really love the painting. I was slightly disappointed that there was a lot of music playing rather than your running commentary about what brush or colour you were using and why you were doing something in particular. It was better in the last third when you were explaining a lot more what you were doing or trying to achieve. But I did love it and hope to give it a go. You are an inspiration.
