I don't know how to feel about this. He is halfway between being at his peak and being the sloth he is today. Somewhere in limbo. He waddles, but he also does things he would never bother to do now. Sure, it's not the worst movie, and DMX is awesome. Eva Mendes is hot. Michael Jai White is at his jacked best. Tom Arnold adds humour. The plot is stupid and serves no purpose...I forgot where I was going. Oh yeah. Steven Seagal kicks butt. And pulls a lot of awesome faces and moves in the process. That is all.

Of course he hurt them. Sensei Lama clearly said that he doesn't act his roles. He lives them; and, no one on the set is safe from having his birthday snatched.

I remember so many fellow Calgarians were mad at Seagal because we had just finished restoring Centre Street Bridge, and they came back for reshoots for the helicopter scene and did so much damage. Like I'm on the bus one day, and we pass an angry man scrubbing fresh burn marks from the brand new lion statues.

This Joel Silver produced movie was Seagal's minor comeback. He lose some weight here only to gain it back in the next movie unfortunately. If you watched the behind the scenes on DVD, he actually did the handstand kick with wires, it's not a stunt double. The movie was choreographed by a Hong Kong stunt team.
