I’ve been watching nothing except reviews about the movie since I saw it the other day. I really liked your in-depth explanations regarding biblical allegories, I believe you’re the only one who covered that and gave me a different perspective.
Someone was talking with me fave horror films n she said this movie was their favorite n then I went back n rewatched it. I realized the horror after a few rewatches. It’s like what Kurt Cobain was talking about. Gordan doing that to his wife… the scene with Hank n the gold coins in the wall, it symbolizes how they used to lobotomize u n the money would keep coming you’d be institutionalized gordon doing that to his wife embodies people taking advantage of the patients too. Hank becomes institutionalized in the end. There’s a lot more little things I really like in the film all the cast have different mental disorders u could analyze but yah amazing amazing film when the messages all sink in
