I wanted to thank everyone for supporting the channel through 2025, whether you've been around for a while or just discovered me this year!

If you missed it, here's "Theme Parks and Entertainment Were Better in the 90s": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=er6Ib1_ePtk&t=335s

It would be really interesting to see your concept for an actual theme park and how you would mix different rides/tech etc. Happy holidays!

As a Maryland local I really have to point out that it was more than just poor management that doomed the park. While from an outsiders perspective the location seems perfectly suited for a theme park. The reality is that the Theme Park has had a long history of crime and rowdy behavior. I went a few times as a kid and every time I went the experience was unpleasant. I witnessed fights including amongst staff. Many families including my own preferred Kings Dominion or Hershey Park despite the longer drive. Considering the merger of six flags and cedar fair it makes sense they would close six flags when Kings Dominion is not that far away.

I saw your video about the parks in the 90's. Curios why the rerelease don't pop up in my feed. I found it. I'll watch it again. It was hands down one of your best ever! But that. Is a difficult thing to say because all your work it's top shelf!! Thank you

Don’t forget about the Log Flume when you get back to the Nickelodeon Universe.  Definitely in the conversation for top three log flumes in the U.S.

Your Theme Parks Were Better in the 90’s videos came out the week after my wife died. You’ll never know how much of a relief/escape, those videos were for me. Thank you so much. I feel like we’d be good friends. Fuck it. We’re friends now lol. Keep up the amazing work.

This was my first year as a subscriber and honestly? I haven't been to a theme park since bush jr. was in office. But! I really enjoy a well thought out, well edited video essay, and you've taught me about being more diplomatic and eloquent about the videos I make on other platforms.

I don't mind videos like this one from you. Your content is usually well worth watching

The “Theme parks were better in the 90s” video is great. I’ve watched it several times and each time noticed something new!

Before it was called Six Flags America, it was called Adventure World.  And before that, Wild World.  It was one of those parks that tried to provide the best of all three ventures: a amusement ride park, a water park, and an animal safari.  In the late 1970's, it was the standard to follow for every amusement park to be successful, like Marineland in California.

It was cool when my family and I went and visited the park in 1996 during the Adventure World phase.  The new rides were awesome, the vibe was much more alive, but the water park's water still tasted like... like an alternative to bleach.

So glad pleasure beach ranked so high! I really hope it gets some decent investment in the future because it’s such a good mix of historic rides and new ones, I really hope it’s not allowed to fall into decay.

Is it just me or does Blackpool Pleasure Beach kind of remind you of those RCT classic parks I would make where there was loads of densely compact roller coasters 😂

Something that I think is important to note is that the ride of steel at Six Flags America is that it was cloned from another park Darien Lake and that the Darien Lake ride is still open

You are absolutely spot on about alton towers and merlins mismanagement of it

It's an absolutely travesty what they're doing and I hope they pull their fingers out before universal uk opens or i can see either the park being sold to someone who will be trying to squeeze every penny or closing

Great to hear you enjoyed your time at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. My grandparents lived in Blackpool in the 90's and I have many fond memories of visiting the park at that time. There are so many historic rides there that are incredibly rare. My last visit was in 2012 and I managed to go on several rides that have since been removed such as the wooden wild mouse which was brutal!

Your videos are always interesting, especially to someone who doesn’t get a chance to go to theme parks very often. I can’t afford to support the channel financially, but I can definitely pull up your 90s video for background listening while I make dinner tonight ❤

Great to see some Chessington love ❤

I'd honestly like to see more ranking videos here and there throughout 2026. There's an appeal to their simplicity that just hits for me sometimes. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

What cracks me up is that I actually enjoy epics mobile ordering system 😭

Video idea: I know your videos typically focus on what is already available or announced when it comes to themed entertainment. But I think it might be good to do a video on potential theming for the newly acquired parks of Herschend Family Entertainment. Obviously, Silver Dollar City and Dollywood have amazing theming and atmosphere. However, the chain has not always given great care to their other properties. Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA has never been given much attention. And they've owned/operated other parks as well without giving them much investment.

However, since they bought Kentucky Kingdom it is clear that they have big plans for the park and have already made some good investments there. I hope they really play up the old Kentucky Derby angle and add more really 20th century theming. And now that they have purchased the old Palace Parks from Parques Reunidos as well as Silverwood in Idaho, there is a lot of speculation about what they will do with those parks. I think Adventureland and Silverwood in particular have a ton of potential for Herschend to transform into truly immersive parks that fit the standard for their big two. And Kennywood could be given a bit of an old timey boardwalk type theme that would fit well.

Anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the potential for this chain with a rapidly evolving future and what each park could become in terms of a themed experience.
