A lot of people are complaining about his strategy, but it obviously works. Get out there and build something better if you think you can.

I honestly believe that onboarding should be unique to the specific apps. He built a prayer app and his onboarding technique connects to his users that way because his target users (christains generally) exercise patience as a virtue. If you’re building a productivity app or something in finance, this particular onboarding should not be for you. Always think about your potential users before setting up an onboarding screen. You need to create your own playbook for your product and your target users.

at the part of making a review while still in the onboarding, firstly the user has nothing to say like no opinions at all, second if you give me a chance to get out of the app after 5 minutes of onboarding I will never not return. I suggest a mid range onboarding with impact and review after the user firstly uses the app

This is really awesome. I'm at the stage of wrapping up a feature and beginning the work on the onboarding in my project and this video instantly gave birth to my whole onboarding flow: questions and UI of decent length where every step will make sense to my user. Special thanks for the note: "let the user try your product in the middle of the onboarding". And I already know how I'd implement it in my app.
