The Brown sisters (the twins in one of the pics) used to eat at the restaurant I worked at in San Francisco. They waited for the same table every week. The seat they always chose had a perfect view of the cable cars, and they would always wave to the tourists as they were riding past the restaurant They were lovely ladies who dressed BOLDLY. They understood  brand identity and the power of being unique, before it was a term anyone knew. 💅.

I have a navy blue paisley silk top that I’ve had for almost 20 years. Paisley has had some moments of cycling in and out of trend, but I think it’s beautiful and perennial.

You've done a spectacular job explaining what is so important for "Trends" that are actually  "Historical Classics". My hope is people will hit thrift store first and up-cycle those treasured finds. Or, go through your closet and up-cycle what you already have. If you do that first and, then go out to fill in the gaps you're creating a timeless sustained  wardrobe which you can have for a very, very long time. Stop or slowdown the impulse of overnight shipping  and, waste because you'll not only develop a timeless style which will make you unique, you'll also help our planet. Thank you for this fabulous picture of Historical and current style which can carry anyone and, everyone into the future.
