Her husband became the image of his mother - an abuser who calls abuse “teaching a lesson”.

So messed up. Two brothers miss out on growing up together and seeing how their lives play out because a selfish piece of trash decided that teaching a lesson was more important than being a mom.

Excellent story. A story with meaning. No lake house. No forged deeds or power of attorney. No Marcus Webb, Dr Chen or Dr Okafore. Just a good story

I am truly in awe of Callie’s courage. Recognizing the manipulative behavior of her husband and mother-in-law, and deciding to leave to protect herself and her dog, is a valuable lesson on setting boundaries in toxic relationships.

This is one of the best stories I've heard on YouTube. The story was direct and to the point without a lot of unnecessary description. There were no stock character names like Madison, Vanessa and Tyler. There were no stock phrases like he stood up so fast that the chair scraped across the floor. There was no tech billionaire who had eaten ramen all the years he/she was in college until they hit it big. This is just an honest telling of a story that is so real that you know it has happened to someone somewhere. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

Colton was allowed to take niece and nephew to a baseball game? I would not let him take trash to the curb, let alone children to an event.

She crazy enough to continue to be with someone that do dumb bs if you exceed time frame.

The lesson is when people show you who they are, believe them the FIRST TIME.
OP's husband showed her who he was, she made excuses instead of believing him.
Don't be so desperate for a relationship.

No, he's a narcissistic asshole.

A shelter for certain dogs is a death sentence. You threaten to unalive my fur baby, no matter how indirect, you & I are about to get REAL ACTIVE.

I hope she called a divorce lawyer

what a story. It almost broke my heart

What a sad story, but at least the truth came out in the end.

Why do people take their own problems out on a kid?

It’s illegal to abandon someone they can get into serious trouble

I teared up on this one. So sad that he realized it to late that he treated his wife the same way. It’s still no excuse he knew better. At least him & his brother can have a relationship

He only learn her that she can’t trust him

never leave your purse behind. and make sure you have money, cc, a charger.

Was unhappy the mother wasn't outed to her church group and basically everyone

This is a beautiful story. I appreciate the share. It's the small things that cause the most trauma people don't realize.
