I just heard this podcast in 2025. Can't believe there is no other comments. But I'll say this: this has been one of the most refreshing and engaging interviews I've listened to by anyone with anyone. JG is a genius and to hear about his influences was lovely. YT algorithms brought me here after I've been mesmerized by OBAA and it's soundtrack. Now I'm mesmerized by JG. Thank you for this interview.

"if you can live with the same piece of classical music for a few weeks, it will reveal itself to you". Same with Radiohead music. Cheers to all, you patient listeners.

Its wonderful to hear a musician as accomplished as him saying how in awe he is of string players. On a side note, I'd love to see a Venn diagram of Radiohead/Smile fans who got interested in checking more orchestral music vs orchestral fans who may have looked into Jonny's back catalogue from hearing his score work.

Yommm! Both Very 'umble & Very ' ehVy. I am no musician but hear the colours & perceive the interplay of the intentions in my own manner. Looking forward to further Works. Thank you.

What a genius he is.
My favourite guitar player of the past 30 years. Before that it was John Squire. Must be the long black hair with curtains that makes you that good…or the name John.
Who knows.

I love hearing what Johnny has to say about his work but I’ll be honest these questions are too limiting or leading, I feel like a lot of his answers are stifled
