God bless Ed O’Brien for being such a chill, super talented and eloquent dude. Radiohead would likely not have lasted as long as they have without him and his calming presence. And now he’s released one of the best albums of the year. What a guy.

I could listen to Ed O'brien all day . He's a real gentleman.

I think that he should call his solo music RadioEd.

Ed feels like my best mate that I’ve never met

Quite honestly, I wasnt feeling his first album so much. This feels like a huge leap forward...its becoming one of my favourites this year for sure.

Ed seems like such a measured, honest guy. I love this interview.

You could sit down with Ed O'Brien and talk about everything in life. A great man.

I really hope Radiohead makes another album

I love the immediate mention of the South Park gig. I'm very, very, very lucky to have a promo poster for that show, because it was taken directly from the site. I found it on eBay over a year ago. The previous seller had purchased it from a storage locker collection in Toronto. I also have an extremely rare copy of Radiohead's first ever print interview when they were still called On A Firday. The mag is called Curfew and it was based in Oxford. My mate Ronan, who created the mag and interviewed the band, gifted me his last spare copy. That chat happened in 1991.

This is one of the best interviews that I've watched that focuses on mental health, depression and the power of healing through music. I can absolutely relate to what Ed says about being in that dark place and being raised in a toxic family. Blue Morpho is an amazing album.

Radiohead are more than deserving to go out on their own terms. They've forged a path for newer generations to follow, and hopefully can one day look back and be proud of the influence they've had.

Ed O'Brien is one of the best guitarists of the 21st century. I hope one day he soundtracks a movie.

I feel like the lads need to hear this. Guys, we are so appreciative of any Radiohead, that none of you should feel obliged to do something you don't want to. We'd all pay concert price to simply have access to a new From The Basement or new album. Thanks for all the great music, whether there's more to come or not.

When Zane pushes the idea of a new Radiohead album and Ed mumbles, "I've got no idea... I think everybody is just really happy doing their own thing," you can tell (from multiple interviews) that his body language is saying he hopes the band can find the time and focus to make another one. ;-)

Depression is anger turned inward. It removes us from our daily routines to give us time to sort out why. Glad Ed has come through it.

I have a feeling, the way Ed looks at Zane, they partied together at some point, maybe at Glastonbury.

The A Moon Shaped tour opening with Daydreaming and Desert Island Disc was so beautiful.  It was perfect.   Blue Morpho is so great and deep.

great interview. I don't think I have heard that much behind the scenes about Radiohead

When asked if he would be content with A Moon Shaped Pool being their final album, Ed responds, "Yeah" (53:52 - 53:54), though he remains open about the future, noting that everyone in the band is currently happy doing their own projects

what an incredible, high level interview.

Happy to hear he's doing well now. New album is lovely
