The key to great communication is to know your own style and the style of others. How do you communicate? How do you like to be communicated to? Do you need time to process or are you a fast thinker? Outgoing or reserved? Task or people oriented? Discovering these behaviors and preferences is a game changer in the workplace, in the classroom, and at home. People are complicated, sometimes even difficult. But they are predictable complicated. And if you can predict their behavior, you can prepare for it.
