The pistelle x-68 is very powerful. Glenn did mention the the CL 2.1g round over the shorter distance would be more effective but as the distance increases the power from the 2.1 would drop where the heavy 5g round would carry it's power a longer distance. Like you said If you're in a self defense situation your test is good

In my opinion, just regarding the flex on the pan of the print, the pan in the center absorbed energy similar to a walking target. However, towards the sides and or where there was print obviously less or no flex thus more distortion. Not sure whether or not that makes a difference with pain compliance. Though it seems the Byrna’s may hit harder. Regarding accuracy, it’s hard to tell during this test as you mentioned. Either way, that P68 is serious and borderline less lethal in my opinion. Nice comparison Scott.  I think the "sweet spot" for the CL might be 3.0g instead of 5.0g.

Fair test Scott. What it did look like to me was the pan that took the aluminum balls was more distorted as a whole. Could be a number of reasons why but just an observation.

Hi Scott, QC witht the new Byrna CL sucks! They need to improve it ASAP. For the price ($590-550) it's a joke! Our mighty Queen X68 puts the competition to shame as usual :))

Is the x-68 able to shoot pepper balls without exploding before it left the barrel? Or is it strictly for just kinetic rounds?

Thank you Scott. Great video. There are niches and use cases for the heavier Sentinels. I would love it if in all cases the Sentinels outperformed the Byrna Kinetics. 3 points are still valid. CLs vary in power. The more powerful ones will like the Sentinels better. The Sentinels will hold their momentum more consistently over distance. The Sentinels are 20% cheaper. And they may even provide better accuracy. But is it all or nothing? Do they have to beat the Byrna Kinetics in all use cases, in all categories but if they don’t they are “the worst ammo you’ve ever test?”  Hopefully there is a middle ground. Was I unfortunate to have a very powerful CL when I was testing my prototypes? I guess so. No maliciousness on my part at all. Thanks again for the time and tests. 😊
