I just came to the comment section to say Thank you, Drifty. I've been dealing with serious anxiety these days and had no idea what could I do to ease it even a bit. I was scrolling through YouTube and other social media searching for source of relief, and then I found your videos. I just wanted it to bring me a sense of comfort and thanks to you, during your longplays i feel so calm, cozy and it felt like i forgot about the world around me, it relieved me even more than i could've ever imagine. It's a pity that this film was only three hours long ❤❤❤❤

Nothing beats actually seeing your books side by side and expanding your collection. Physical books are the way to go. I only read online if i cant find the book i want to buy in person. I like seeing them all and picking one, feels like a personal library. Plus it takes you away from what could have been yet another device.

I love reading both physical books and my e-reader. I do miss the turning of pages on an e-reader BUT you get a ton of free books (mostly fantasy), can take it with you when a physical book might be too big, add articles in pdf format, can enlarge the font size if you‘re a bit tired. Plus, a kindle of an older generation is dirt cheap. So even if you end up not liking it, you didn‘t spend a ton of money.

hi drift, i know this is random but i just wanted to say thank you. i’ve never come across another content creator that brings me as much peace as you do. i take so much comfort in your words and your positivity. i hope you know how much your videos mean to others out in the world.
back in march, i lost my partner of 5 years and i was really struggling finding anything that calmed my brain, especially for longer periods of time. i’m so incredibly thankful i came across your videos shorty after, because i’d watch them all through the night when things felt especially hard and i’d respond to you aloud and i found so much appreciation for this game i’ve played since i was a child, and for people like you who share it in such a lighthearted, comforting way.
this holiday season has been really hard to navigate emotionally, and i’ve found myself revisiting your channel once again. this cozy longplay is just reminding me again of how much you helped me through the beginning of 2024.
thank you again, from one stranger to another! your soul is bright!!!

tbh, this longplay will likely become a tradition for me to watch each year! :)

White Christmas is a good movie

every time i read an ebook and enjoy it i am filled with the strongest desire to have a paper copy to put in my trophy case AHEM on my bookshelf. Which basically just means I pay for the book twice. Paper books all the way!!

My fave is A Christmas Carol with Alistair Simms in black and white. Next is It's A Wonderful Life. Prefer books to e-readers. Something special about having a book to hold, smell, the way it feels. Technology is cold and flat. Books are living beings of their own. Drift goes weeeeeee on the ice 😅

I love building these kind of cabins <3 I used this frame to make a chicken coop, with a deepslate trim, acacia roof and calcite walls and fell in love with it forever.

I love audio books. I like to play Minecraft, knit, do chores while listening. Eta. When I read at bedtime I use my Kindle.

Rankin/Bass's Frosty the Snowman is a MUST WATCH Christmas movie for me.

i miss your longplay

There are three that I have to watch every year, no matter what: Muppet christmas carol, the Alastair Simm christmas carol, and National Lampoons Christmas vacation. I normally also watch quite a few others, but those are must watches every year.

My fav Christmas movie is definitely 'it's a wonderful life' it's an old black and white movie but it's a Christmas tradition in my family (going for 3 generations now) to watch it every Christmas. I think that's mostly because I come from a family of union workers and the movie is essentially a more working class pov of a Christmas Carol. I'm not able to be with family this year but I'ma do my best to find that old gem, highly recommend it's a wonderful life to anyone interested, it's a great watch.

Im so sad, i got sick yesterday ❤❤ today this longplay got uploaded, drift thank u so much❤❤ it helps alot ❤❤ luv ya

e-reader is love, e-reader is life. I have two and I love them. Kindle is bomb.

You’re videos always make me so happy

I watched Klaus during COVID and absolutely fell in love with it. Now we watch it every single year as a family. 🥹🩷

idk if this is the same as an e-reader but i used to read on my ipad and personally i would never replace physical books for any technology. for me, i feel more accomplished, productive, and satisfied reading physical books. plus, it minimizes my screen time and avoids the strain a screen puts on my eyes

My family watches the Polar Express on Christmas eve and we also love ELF.
