Xbox was beloved throughout the 2000s with the OG Xbox and Xbox 360. Great systems, amazing exclusives, and fantastic community features with Xbox Live. Although with the Xbox One and its reveal controversy at E3 2013, they began to lose their way. There was a bit of a redemption and hope for the brand throughout the mid to late 2010s, leading up to the Xbox Series X/S with things like Game Pass. But over the past 2 years, bad investments and pure greed from Microsoft has completely destroyed the Xbox brand to a point of no return.

Update: Phil Spencer has retired, and Sarah Bond has "resigned" (been fired). Asha Sharma is the new CEO who has zero gaming experience and was the President of Microsoft's AI products. It's never been more over.

It's funny, or rather not funny, watching this whole video now after the news that Xbox is rumored to raise the prices of their consoles a THIRD TIME THIS YEAR because of the price hike that RAM has now because of (I believe) investments on AI... which Microsoft contributed to! 🤦‍♂️

You say that with Minecraft background music, just as Minecraft bedrock got an update shoving the marketplace in the face of everyone, replacing the settings button with a HUGE shop button, making a lot of people accidentally buy stuff, with, NO REFUNDS available.

EA games and Ubisoft+ were already a part of Game Pass, all the games advertised could be downloaded before that. Really the $10 increase is Fortnite Crew. Insanity.

22:22 Hi, former game pass subscriber here. EA Play has been a staple of Game Pass for years. They definitely raised the price just for those Fortnite skins.

Dont forget Gold and Game Pass used to be separate subscriptions. People who just weren't interested in game pass could just pay for online access much more affordably, $60 per year. They combined them and forced game pass on Xbox players, along with the monthly subscription price that tripled the cost of online access

Needing a subscription to pay online still baffles me,like I pay for the console,pay for the game,pay for my internet and I have to pay again to have the privilege to play online?I built a pc in 2019 and had no reason to look back cause almost every console exclusive just came on pc anyway

Long time coming. Microsoft is unrivaled in terms of snatching the utter defeat from the jaws of auto-win, but 2025 was quite something.
It's actually quite surprising that internalized scam that is Xbox Pass was able to pretend it is somehow "tapping into new market", "constantly growing community of users" and other literally nothing statements that were there in old as time corporative style of "How can i tell investors this thing is actually bleeds money like a pig in a way, that they just won't pull out immediately?".
