Aamir Khan interview starter pack:
Everybody told me to not make Lagaan but I listened to my heart
As a child I used to secretly listen to the stories narrated to my father and it inculcated in me the passion of storytelling like a Gurukul training
We have to extend the ott release window if theatrical revenue has to increase
The audience's attention span is reducing so the audience is no longer a captive audience
We have to increase the number of theatres like china
Lal singh chadha failure affected me the most and my performance let the film down and the premise of that movie was actually a question instead of a statement
Thugs of Hindustan will fail miserably at the Box Office I had already predicted.
I wish I had done the breakdown scene in RDB, on the day when I had prepared specifically for it
I had decided to quit films post the failure of Lal Singh and my kids convinced me to continue making films
If I'd chased success, I wouldn't have produced Taare Zameen Par or Lagaan
Contrary to popular belief, I don't chase perfection but always try to find magic
Mansoor Khan suggested me to make modifications in the title song of TZP which helped us to ensure that the right message is being conveyed
Junaid Khan is an extremely talented actor who is self made without any influence from my end

for people those who are telling he is repeating his answers, at the same time many others also specifically addressing his knowledge n insights in a very positive way, he is repeating fundamentals of storytelling mostly, and many of us as a aspiring screen writers and aspiring filmmakers, you guys have no clue that how extremely super helpful and contributing a person with such a library of knowledge and experience to share his insights taking such efforts,he is not a typical film star to give wannabe diff entertaining answers, in YouTube it's simple democracy that if you are not willing you can easily skip the video while scrolling, does anyone take a sub second, also I felt like to thank all the people in cmnts mostly 80% of them took some effort and to appreciate him for his contribution

1. He should take a break from interviews
2. I would but a blame to interviewers as well who ask questions which Aamir has answered multiple times.

Have watched Aamir in his debut film when was a Teen.... He's one actor whom I did trust on my money every time his film released. From andaz apna apna to laal singh I saw all his films in theatre except 3. Back in 90s he wouldn't give many interviews & even those that came in film mags were more about his stardom, bo, family etc NOT about his thought process. So I wish we had these interviews back then & our understanding of cinema wrt story, premise, goal would have been lot better.... Thank you Aamir for entertaining me all these 38 yrs!!!

To those saying he should take a break from interviews - this is a masterclass and not an interview. There are lot of ppl esp in our 20s who havent seen his earlier interviews and films and this is very informative to us

Respectfully, amir sir should take a break from interviews media interactions and immaculate some new experiences of filmmaking rather than repeating the same things.

Amazing …what a masterclass... as a screenwriter i have found each an every aspect of screenwriting, from to beginning to end.....talking on story writing process....premises....plot...subplot...whatever your story plot driven or character driven....its such big exercise.....!! going more deeper in filmmaking process.....if you want to become good writer or actor so.....your reading habit must be strong.....narrating way to your story....pitching to someone .....really its art so i learn from much more thing from Amir Sir.....and thanks to recommending the book of Art of Dramatic writing.....War of Art.....so definitely it will help more to writing process....!!! thanku so much Amir Sir....creative team of Screen Academy...!!!
