Mr. Berry was a professor of mine at UK, and his work has influenced me ever since.   We have lost a great man, but his  legacy will endure.

A fine man & a very very fine poet. More American's should be aware of one of their finest. Keep up the good work, Wendell. From an Irish songster.

What a remarkable man. He demonstrates the simplicity of authentic Wisdom and Intelligence, and big Hearted beingness. May the Wisdom that Wendell Berry emanates and represents infuse all Americans, that we might rescue our Nation, and then the World from the travesty and the ravages of technology, arrogance and the idolatry of shortsightedness.

fortunately, I found you it’s just been fairly recent, but I found you and I talked to several people about about you

Wendell Berry is a brilliant Kentucky Gentleman...

I love his character of gratefulness.  I'm from KY too.  Can't help but noticing that some of the things actually grieves him comes out as humor and causes the audience to giggle, but his passion is obvious in his face.  I've never met him but love him.  God bless Mr. Berry.  And thank you (and God bless you) for sharing this video.

Southern Gracefulness personified.

Living in Kentucky my entire life, I'm ashamed to admit that I just recently discovered the treasure that is Wendell Berry.  I just bought a book of his essays today, and I look forward to what he has to say.  Thanks for the video.

I was there...

If you read nothing else of Berry, read The Gift of Good Land.  His best work.

Love this

I lived in Madison at the time of this talk and am sad that I was not introduced to his work until now.  I would have attended had I known.  Thanks for this.

i love his essay body and earth and the rise about a short canoe trip....

I came here after listening to Malcolm Guite read from “This Day - Collected & New Sabbath Poems”. I have now ordered this and look forward to absorbing from what Wendell has written. Thanks for sharing. Best regards from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Garry

My hero!

What a great talk!

I know - I'm a Kentuckian too.

I like his criticisms of computers/ the internet, I'd say I minimise my use of the interenet because of the outlook he presents, I personally finf the internet pathetic for communing compared with face to face.
