I came here today after reading his bio, his tribute article in the New York Times by fellow Kentuckian Barbara Kingsolver. There IS hope, Mr. Berry. We shall work to love and protect our Earth - her waters, soils, animals, air, lands, and to seek to make strides in genuine human(e) evolution.
Each and both of these men are places of solace and wonder for me. The Peace of Wild Things is my heart's most constant companion. This interview is so well conceived and executed, that it is a home and refuge on 28th January, 2025.
I’m currently reading Jayber Crow. I’ve never heard of Wendell Berry up until recently. Jayber Crow is the most important piece of fiction that everyone needs to read.
HIS PASSION AND LOVE ARE OBVIOUS IN EVERYTHING HE DOES. HIS OBSERVATIONS ARE REMARKABLE. HIS CONTEXTUAL LANGUAGE SUPERB. HIS BEAUTIFUL MIND IS A BUSY BUMBLE BEE OF ACTIVITY.
Thank you Wendell for your continued efforts to shed light on the "precious things". And, thank you for reminding Christians that environmentalists and liberals are not the enemy.
RIP Mr Wendell Berry 🩵🤎
RIP Mr Bill Moyers 🩶🩷
2 men that influenced who I am
so grateful to them both
