"So my mission is to use the internet to build our next generation of conservationists.. and I think it's working."

FANTASTIC WAY TO END A TALK. I smiled and got chills. I like that you took it full circle.

Maya, who has motion: "Make it look like I have motion"

that guy who told you that if the animals knew what you were doing, they'd be so proud of you was SO right, you KILLED this!!

She already has over 400k more views then all the other speakers on the TED youtube channel. Best decision ever to have her on that stage
She's the goat!

I’ve watched it so many times. I sent it to my family. I sent it to my colleagues. I sent it to my freaking therapist. I am so proud and inspired by Maya, she is doing what I thought was too out of reach for me. I started an environmental nonprofit but gave up when it came time to file my 501c3. I was 14 years old.
I’m 33 now and finally getting back into conservation. It’s all thanks to Maya and the alveus community ❤❤❤❤

Ah crap, I cried while watching the TED talk yesterday and now I'm crying watching it again.

Watched the TED video twice. Watched basically every streamers reaction to the video. And now watching this.

Every time I hear “I think it’s working”, without fail, I want to cry.

She's actually the GOAT for that, it was amazing and would probably go down in history as one of the most impactful influencer ted talks of our time.

1.7k likes before it began is wild.

I didn't consciously realize the bookending of the talk until watching it back here, it's a really great touch and you should be so proud of the work that you've done, not just on the TED stage but overall!

Yeah sure I'll watch it again and cry again. So proud of Maya and all she has done.

At 22 I was still deciding what I wanted to do with my life. You had already changed the world. Congratulations on your journey, all the best in future ventures.

Shaving her head was so hardcore, people around her at the time weren't all awesome and she was tough as hell and cool asf. So much respect, Maya

i didnt cry watching it solo but i cried watching maya watch it with chat this is truly cinema

Maya you did soooooo good. You were in your educational element. The applause shocked you, but it was well deserved! Congrats! 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

You spoke flawlessly and I can only imagine how many more people you have reached with this

Sounds fascinating to have dreams AND the willpower to pull through. I wish you all the best, Maya

Started with the tiny mic video showing up on my YouTube feed, which I loved, then led to twitch. The time where the main camera was the pasture..many mornings I had that on, love the pasture. Go Maya !

I've commented on a few of these videos now about how proud you should be,  but I didn't even think about the fact that you are doing something groundbreaking groundbreaking and the fact you mentioned Steve irwin made me realise that you know how much of a special person he was with his passion for what he was doing was clear for all to see! You are this calibre of person! You can tell a lot about a person from the way they treat animals. I would love to see you meet up with Steve irwins son I forget his name but he has his father's passion

Honestly you did so good, I am proud of you
