If horror movies have taught me one thing, it’s that if you start hallucinating or dreaming of murders in graphic detail, the killer is YOU!

I love how he gets mad at her for continuing to get pregnant as if she's been impregnating herself the entire time. LMAO

Many people are comparing this movie to Basket Case and I can see the similarities. And Gabriel was played by a contortionist that performed on America's Got Talent.

Im sure someone mught have already said this but the "if your partner was abusive why do you continue to sleep with them" plothole is actually really common in abusive relationships. Turning down your abusive partner advances can set them off

I hate how they never explain how Gabriel can manipulate electricity & talk through radios… never seen someone with a teratoma do that.

"Not like anyone changes their hairstyle over 20 years"

*sweats nervously in same dora the explorer haircut I've been wearing off and on since 95*

I couldn’t have laughed harder when Gabriel hit the two cops in the head with the chair from across the room. I really thought it was going through the window and Gabriel would escape. It was confusing at first because the camera angles leading up to that did telegraph something was going to happen but I didn’t see that coming. It was hilarious lol

Just an FYI about abusive relationships, if Derek was physically abusing Madison and keeping her away from her friends and family, there's nothing to say that he wouldn't have vetoed her using any form of birth control, including the pill or condoms, as another form of the power he held over her--so not really a nit pick, more a sad reality :(

It's such a joy to see how your movie collection has grown throughout the years. Your shelves are so impressive.

the opening when they address gabriel and you faintly see him kind of intrigued me, i wasnt sure if maybe i was interpreting him a different way, but oh my god. when they actually revealed him attached to emily, i was downright fucking repulsed. i loved this movie, it was genuinely fun.

YESS! When the movie finished I went “I can’t wait for the Foundflix video on this”

That third act reveal was so ridiculous and I loved that he leaned into the camp

About the birth control, it’s probably that he didn’t let her and she couldn’t do it secretly since abusers tend to control where their victims go

Her repeatedly getting pregnant isn't really a plot hole. In an already physically and mentally abusive relationship, SA isn't off limits to an abuser. And reproductive abuse is common enough. People tampering with their partner's contraceptives in one way or another.

I'm only 10:00 minutes in but how does the detective think that the unconscious pregnant lady with violent head trauma has the strength to swing their hand backwards into someone hard enough to snap their neck with whiplash?

Besides the interior of the houses dimensions being way bigger than the outside (house of leaves anyone?), the attic with that massive industrial fan is absolutely not the same house

I left the theatre thinking “this would make a perfect marvel/DC super villain origin story” lmao. I didn’t hate it tbh, but it definitely gave me a more superhero/antihero movie vibe by the end 😂

This movie from the ads seemed like it was gonna be a whole different movie

This movie was such a fun ride.
I genuinely feel sorry for the people that can't see that it's INTENTIONALLY campy. They missed out!
Such a throwback to that absurd, sensationalist horror of the 80's and early 90's.

I was crying laughing at the jail cell scene. The costumes alone were wonderful. I love this movie bc it was pure comedy

From a ctitics pov i can see many of the perceived flaws, but from a casual viewers pov this was obviously just made for fun and i had a blast watching it. Also i can see if you went to this expecting something like the conjuring or his other work you may be disappointed with the way it turns out. But overall i think he delivered a solid experience( although not a solely horror one).
