I refinished an electric guitar and went all in with an extreme holographic glitter metal flake finish ✨🎸
Honestly, I didn’t expect it to turn out this wild — but the sparkle is absolutely insane.

In this video you’ll see a custom electric guitar refinish process, focused on a bold glitter paint job and the final result.
This project is all about experimenting, pushing limits, and seeing how far you can take a DIY guitar makeover.

What’s in the video:
• Electric guitar refinish
• Holographic / glitter metal flake paint
• Custom guitar paint job
• Before & after guitar transformation

If you’re into custom guitars, luthier projects, DIY builds, or crazy finishes — make sure to like the video 👍
and subscribe for more guitar mods and refinish experiments!

Let me know in the comments — too much glitter, or just right? 😅✨

Curious what you think about glitter finishes on guitars 🎸✨
Would you ever refinish your own guitar like this?

Great job, I'm about to paint a guitar the same sparkly way you did. As a professional car painter I would like to give you just a small piece of advice if you want it... If you want a real smooth shiny finsh and non of that orange peel try using a hard block as a backing for your sanding paper. That way it becomes smooth and flat as glass, just a tip. Great job again!

It's very hard to get rid of orange peel on a metal flake because of the size of the flakes. A few more coats of clear would help, as well as (like already suggested) using a hard backing block for your initial level sanding.
