Refinishing a Guitar. This is part 2 : Removing/Stripping the Poly finish. Heat Gun? Sander? here's what I tried... Warning... I' have no idea what i'm doing 🙈 Expect mistakes!
Part 1 was disassembling the Guitar - Here it is:

This is one of the most relatable and honest DIY videos I’ve ever seen on this platform. I gained a mass of experience just watching here. I was wondering about removing poly to start a relic guitar project &, from this other fellas video it LOOKED easy enough. But this is a reminder that the level of difficulty should be carefully gauged. Steve, you’re a hero for diving in and sharing. Now… you got the power!

Re-finishing a guitar is harder than it looks. I tried and probably won’t again. Funny video 😂 👏🏼👍🏼 and will definitely help ppl thinking of doing this.

Hi Steve, so glad I’ve found your video because I’m currently stripping a guitar body myself. I’ve tried the heat gun method and it causes all sorts of problems including toxic vapours coming from the lacquer/paint, damaging the body and burning your hands etc. I’m going to sand my body but I am lucky as I have a dust collector etc. watched lots of Utube videos and like you thought I’d be ok, but I wasn’t. Great video mate 👍😊😊
