What happens when David Gilmour stops Pink Floyd’s iconic “Wish You Were Here” in front of 15,000 fans to read a grieving widow’s heartbreaking sign? In this emotional, fictionalized story set at Boston Garden on June 17, 1977, Colleen Novak travels hundreds of miles to honor her late husband, Wade, who had bought concert tickets before his tragic death. When David Gilmour notices her message in the crowd, an unforgettable moment unfolds as he interrupts the concert, invites Colleen and her teenage son Neil onto the stage, and dedicates a deeply personal performance of “Wish You Were Here” to the man they lost. But it’s what happens after that extraordinary night, involving a handwritten note, a guitar pick, and a mysterious package, that reveals the true power of music, compassion, and healing.
