For me, Pink Floyd often feels like nostalgia about a future you imagined as a kid but it never materialised.  Or like longing for a past that never existed or that you never knew.

You don't just listen to Pink Floyd, you FEEL Pink Floyd.

David Gilmour's guitar work has always been about emotion rather than flash.

I feel so nice that another young human discovered the music that my generation grew up with

Gilmour is one of the best guitarists that has ever lived and breathed. His playing is just so beautiful.

Pulse tour. I was part of the road crew for this. Building for Floyd is not like doing it for any other band. Preparing a spitfire to be flown over the crowd and crashed into the side of the stage and putting a huge spinning glitter ball into the roof that opens like a huge flower is eye opening.  It taught me a whole new set of skills as a rigger. First time seeing it all come together as  a show is something that will stay with me forever

This song is a perfect example of what Pink Floyd music is great at. It doesn't tell you what to think. It opens your mind and allows you to feel what the musicians are feeling and thinking. It involves you in what's being performed and communicated.

this song will always make me cry.  it reminds me of my brother who I lost 28 years ago this month.  he first introduced me to Pink Floyd. RIP PJ. my big bro. 😥

“We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year”. What a stunning and emotional lyric. This is a master performance of what is an iconic song

That couple of seconds when you realise that Dave is harmonising with his own guitar and your face just LIGHTS UP, may be just about my favourite piece of a reaction video ever. It is so beautiful and natural, your complete delight is so obvious. 13/10, will watch again.

This song has me tear up every time I hear it as at age 60, I have lost so many loved ones and the sentiment of wishing they were here is a constant. David's ability to sing along with his guitar so perfectly is absolutely magical. Pink Floyd has been a favorite band of mine for most of my life at this point. Thanks for this reaction. ❤

Nothing like standing in a stadium singing this with David and 70,000 of your closest new friends.

Don’t worry about being flustered. David has been flustering me for over 50 years

Watching someone experience Pink Floyd for the first time is like Watching a toddler taking their first steps. Pink Floyd is not just a band they are an experience that is hard to put into words. 50 years on and I am still awestruck every time.

Came for the music, stayed for the smile.

This is a mournful, resigned song about an old bandmate who was lost to psychological issues.  Pink Floyd revisits this issue repeatedly; Syd Barrett survived his drug induced catastrophe, but was barely functional afterward.  Whether it's a tribute constantly renewed or a repeated eulogy, it's heartbreaking to listen to when you know the backstory.

Oh Beth, your timing is excellent.  This was the song played at my brothers funeral this week for a period of reflection and remembrance. It was one of his favourites.  Thank you.

I will never, EVER tire of watching people discover and inevitably fall in love with Pink Floyd and David Gilmour, especially fellow musicians and music lovers. Every note David plays and every word he sings comes straight from his soul, and pierces yours. In the guitar world, he's what one might call "your favorite guitarist's favorite guitarist". He's the embodiment of "less is more". Every note he plays serves a purpose. Perfect phrasing, gorgeous tone, hypnotizing melodies...every intonation is deliberate, every phrase with something to say. You were right to be speechless because it's hard to put into words...as far as musicality, soul and feel over virtuosity, no one does it better. The performance you covered of Comfortably Numb is widely considered one of the greatest live guitar solos of all time (the one in Pompeii in 2016 is equally incredible).

Beautiful music is everywhere. Too many people miss out on so much of it because the band may fall under genres they may not have had their minds opened to yet for whatever reason, and that's just tragic to me. So, all that to say, seeing the smile on your face as you experience this song for the first time and enjoy the magic of David Gilmour put an even bigger smile on mine. 😁

Your speechlessness... spoke volumes...
That's what Pink Floyd usually does to people...

At 82 years,I’ve been lucky enough to be brought up with these sounds, never diminish!
