BUYER BEWARE!!! This game is an insane time sink! I haven't played a game like this in a long time. You hop on, and before you know it, 6 hours have gone by like it's nothing. So many times I check the clock, and it's 3 am... Love this game. I really hope it continues to get better and better with each update.

I think most people totally ignore the second type of shot you have on the ship, Take out their sails, and it severely hinders their movement, and speed, basically they become sitting ducks, swap to normal shot and sink them, only treasure ships are worth looting, sink the rest

If you don't have the homeward journey potions you can just set the spawn point, fast travel home with the ship, grab the bell and stash it in your ship then die and when you respawn on the island you have the bell once you recover your ship and grab it

After I unlocked the brig, I scrapped my factory ketch, and rebuilt it as a brethren ketch. Giving me a nice sized cargo hold for when I moved my base.

One I just learned. Right mouse click on the map and you can place icons. Want to put a icon on the island where the bananas or the sweet potatoes are? You can. Gives different types of icons and can type what you want it to say.

Pro tip, build a wharf next to your bells and you can fill up 3 ships full of loot every time. Then to unload go back to your main base and recall all 3 ships and enjoy

If you took damage during a ship battle and have one enemy ship ready to board, activate a non-combat repair kit right before boarding. During boarding, no enemy ships will interrupt the repairs and once you're back on board you will have repaired your ship for next to nothing.

AI loves to play bumper ships. You can also farm rough hide from nanny goats in the foot hills. Just one shot head shot them with your ranged weapon and they drop 3 rough hide.

one more tip on the topic of doctor galen: you can move him to any camp you set up by interacting with the campfire and selecting "settle" on him. just in case you lose him and need him for a quest for those free potions he gives u every day

setting the fast travel bell limit to 50 was my first mod

On the fast travel hack, if you don't have a fast travel bell, instead of the part where you put down a tent and then get everything you need and take the potion to go back, just put everything on your ship die, you respawn at the new island and then call your ship to you.

Loved your dad jokes! Educational AND entertaining!

A good tip for naval combat is a "tic-tac" your ship. Basically constantly turning and changing your angle so that you fire from all sides as often as you can, effectively reducing the time between volleys and therefore increasing damage 😎

Actually useful.

Is that the silky smooth voice of FoxDrop? Am I listening to a jungle guide from 5 years ago and loving life? I think I am!

Fast travel work around can be streamlined and you can save your homewoods, istead of traveling back to base and hitting your homewood potion, just load the items on your ship, and die and you will respawn at the tent, summon your boat and theres you gear, save your resources on homewood potion

9:15 Rested Buff: the fancier of the two first beds seems to apply TWO comfort points. I’m at level 5, not to the foothills yet.
My comfort level is 17, with the boar and dodo trophy heads.
