Sacred Cards was one of my favourite games growing up, and I still enjoy it to this day. Easy or not, I just love being able to make thematic decks nowadays.

9:59 additional side-note about the staff: The English translation was done by one Nob Ogasawara, who’s most well known for having single-handedly translated the mainline Pokémon video games and a couple spin-offs up this point, as well as several Enix titles and Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow. He returns to translate Reshef of Destruction later on.

Even though the game was way too easy, I still liked the style that it was in. People complain about Kuriboh killing Blue-Eyes but I think it's interesting game design. We already got many TCG style games. But we only got two GBA duel monsters style games and one GBC one which didn't age well at all.

Bruh I hate the ending lmao you don't even get a chance to use Ra... Ishizu just takes the gods away 💀💀💀 and no saving? Weak lol I wasn't done dueling Yugi boi 😭

This is still my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh game.  I want more Yu-Gi-Oh RPGs where it's just an arc from the manga or anime and you're a self-insert in it

Here because of the early days collection hype.

I love the charavter designs in this game they look just like the designs in the DragonBall GBA action rpg series. I just think theyre neat!

Found these retrospectives after finding out about the Yugioh Early Days Collection. Cant wait for all these games to come back in the collection

I had enough fun with this to have played through it at least 3 times as a kid.

really cool going into detail on the staff involved in the games, something basically every other games video brushes over

Its funny you mentioned yugi and joey beat nobodies but bakura also won all of his from bonez and his crew so he terrorized some poor nobodies too lol

I still have this game!

I can tell you put a lot of work into making these videos from playing the games, researching them, writing the script, to editing the videos and for that I am really grateful. I've always been really fascinated by all of the YuGiOh games and this series has been a really nice way for me to learn about and experience more of the games. Thank you very much!

I'm reminded that I have no idea how I have this game. I never got a box for it, no instruction manual, and I think I got it in 2006. Best guess is that either I just wanted any Yugioh game and got it from ebay or Goodwill. 9/10, easy to pick up and play and fun to be part of the best arc in the whole series.

I remember getting this for Christmas one year, I really liked it

I haven’t played this game in years and was curious how it held up. Great review and very informative!

This is the only YuGiOh game i've played. I remember when i was a kid i used to buy cards but i've never played YuGiOh, i just liked the monsters designs and found them pretty cool. One day my dad bought me this game and i had such a good time with it, i still replay this game from time to time and thought how underrated it is. Music is also really good. The only unfortunate thing is that is too short, but still... For someone that has never played YuGiOh, this is a really good experience.

Nice video, but I have one remark; At 8:22 you say that this is the first Duel Monsters game to feature a full yugioh board of spell, trap and monster zones, but Duel Monsters 5 actually had a full board, even including a field spell zone, fusion deck zone, graveyard zone, removed from play zone, and deck zone. Duel Monsters 5 implemented the real TCG rules very accurately.

this game is so much fun and reshef is a fun game too

It's crazy how they put this and reshef in the same box😂 the night and day difference was insane
