Buddy you have cornered the market on caulking and nail hole filling videos

Don't forget to drag a damp cloth over the frog tape to activate it!  (There's a reason it's called "frog" tape.)  The water in the latex paint is supposed to do this for you if it drips onto the tape, but 1) the application isn't always latex paint and 2) I don't trust it.  Activating the tape will yield much better results if you're having problems with it.  Actually, this might be a fun video idea if you want to test how well this trick does (or doesn't) work.  They have removed the tip from their website suggesting you do this, but some of us still do!

You're a master of the TRADES !  Learned new tips and have to add mine : Strorage  wrap brushes -- after use -- in plastic wrap /bags.  THEN, store brushes , well wrapped , in the Fridge ; the humidity will prevent the paint from drying.

Thanks Youtube algo, I could have used this info LAST week. I use a foam roller for mine, when it starts to look a little too heavy and orange peely, I roll the roller out of paint and use light pressure to flatten down the orange peel. It looks pretty dang good. I do use a brush for the top edge only, I will go to the edge of the caulking, let it dry, then tape the top edge and paint wall color to have a perfect line.

I've been using woodfiller for nail holes.  In my house, I can see every single hole, cos the last person used drydex and it shrank.  It takes longer, but it hides the nail holes perfectly.

The Flotrol kept me from getting any brush lines. The stuff is a game changer. My kitchen cabinets turned out beautiful!

Sanding with a sheet of paper can leave visible craters  (because it's flexible).  I always use a shim or a wooden paint mixing stick to wrap couple of layers of paper around it.  Perfectly flat finish

I love hearing that you wet your paint brush before painting. I’ve been doing this on accident, because I wash my paint brush out between coats and it’s always still wet for next coat. Yay!!
