Good job, the next time you drain the oil, make sure it is at operating temperature. That way, all the grease gets out more easily. Now it is not so important because it is new, but in the future I recommend it. The Liqui Moly oil you put in is the best for BMW. If you want to save a little on the Mahle filter, it is produced in Austria and is actually an original BMW filter, but without the BMW logo.

Back wheel star tighten pattern

Nicely presented and excellent camera and lighting. Well narrated.

Thanks for this vid. I’ve had my bagger since 2019 and never changed my own oil on it because of that dual drain plug. But it was actually really simple to do.

This winter has SUCKED so far
The snow and extreme cold here in chi town started in November.  Then the weather broke and I was able to ride again.  Then the shit came back and I got some rideable (barely) weather and got out two consecutive Fridays
Then 2 straight weeks with NOTHING.  Just had a good week or so able to ride to work every day … had my last ride Sat night then put on the tender bc yesterday albeit 60 was pouring all day .. rain stopped afternoon but was stuck at work.  Now we have 2 inches of snow and a week of freezing temps

I can’t deal with this shit
Riding is the one thing that keeps me sane.  No wonder I ride 20-25k a year

Excellent instructional video.  That will save some serious bucks.  Thanks.

Great information. New to the K world. Very helpful my man. Thanks, I’ll be watching

Great video, much easier than I thought! Much appreciated!!

I brought my own Amsoil oil and rear diff fluid and the dealer charged me $210 to do my first service at 1k miles adding the filter and o-rings and washers. Pretty painless.

Torque striping is what that’s called. Being a millwright we do this all the time with structural building bolts.

So much thought in regards to maintenance etc, much easier to work on compared to American baggers.

After watching and wishing the weather was warmer right now (-9 F here in Indy) I miss riding my GA even more! Hope to catch you on the road!!!!

Nice Video.Thank you and best regards from Germany😊

I have had my K1600 GTL a little over a year. That sump plug gives me night mares sometimes. Well done sir!

Nice work!!

Break-In service is typically $500.00 or so… down here in Florida, but they also do checks for any recalls and update the computer which resets the Rev Limiter.

I miss the Harley content but as a fellow “Jersey Boy,” I’m going to continue to support you and your channel. Great video, John.

That rear tire being held on by only 5 or 6 Torx bolts is wild to me!  Question: Could you have put a dab of Blue Locktite on those bolts?

Wow, I'm definitely getting one - been thinking about it for a while - was worried about difficult maintenance. Not anymore.🙏🙏

My next bike will be this🤤🤤🤤

Liquimoly 5w-40 is all I put in my car and the car before that

EXCELLENT oil
