My God let him talk. This interruption only shows the interviewer is not prepared, but only tries to be aggressive. All questions were fine but non stop interruptions were interrupting

The interviewer is making a fight when there is none - grabbing repeatedly for a gotcha moment instead of listening to the replies.

Where there is consensus on policy direction, there will be policy. Where there isn’t, Labour can decide whether to try for it in a manifesto for the next election - not Andy Burnham, the party. As an MP, at that time he will have to decide whether to stand again in Makerfield on that manifesto.

He isn’t a King - the media called him King of the North, that’s not his term. I’m sure if he could implement policy as he chose he would be tempted to do so, he’s only human. But that has not been his way. He’s not Cameron or (thank god) Johnson. He believes in due process. But (unlike Starmer) he wants to be sure that the process is actually productive, even if that means the conversations and compromises are politically difficult.

We’ve forgotten what grown up politics looks and sounds like. And this interviewer is stubbornly refusing to recognise it when it is standing right in front of him.
