Superman is one of the most iconic characters of all time, but somehow his movie franchises end up failing and being rebooted. So what is the secret formula to making a Superman video and does James Gunn have enough bullets in the chamber to stick the landing?

My Superman Ranking honors Christopher Reeve, the one who got me into the character. I've always preferred a Superman who brings hope, joy, warmth, compassion and optimism. It separates him from Batman who carries a bunch of trauma and strikes fear into criminals. This is why Henry Cavill ranks at #8. Despite being the perfect actor for the role, having the flight, presence and intensity, Cavill posssed a Superman who was cynical and distant trying to earn humanity's trust. While that was an interesting concept, Cavill's arc fell short trapping him in a dark gritty distant type of vibe, which stung him for me. Christopher Reeve taught me who Superman is and what he stands for. So that's why I've been very critical on the other actors since. Superman's greatest strength is his humanity and empathy. Not his powers. And that's why Henry Cavill ranks low for me and why Tyler Hoechlin and David Corenswet rank high for me, even Tom Welling. Brandon Routh has a weak film and redemption. In Superman Returns, his Superman chooses to save people even if they feel that he's not needed anymore. He doesn't distant himself from humanity. And that's why Routh is my 5th favorite Superman.

Saying MOS isn't a Superman movie is getting old, regurgitating that doesn't make anyone a "real superman fan"

Gotta give you props for actually filming yourself, in each of the filming locations, from the Superman movies you mentioned.

Edit: Ok, so you're apparently a racist towards Immigrants. Even though one of the most important things about Superman, is that he is an immigrant... down to him being written by immigrants. Huh... I guess I take back everything I said.

Masters Class in acting is exactly what Christopher Reeve represents.

Insane production great video

I really wanted Superman to be a bit more steadfast and confident in his preservation of life.

He should have been angrier at the justice gang for unecessarily killing a most likely scared creature. Or he should have stopped the justice gang from killing them.

He should have not killed ultraman, or it shoulds have been more obvious that he isnt dead.

And the justice gang should have been inspired by superman and not cause any deaths in Boravia. I imagine scene where guy gardner flings a guy up like in the movie, but then reluctantly catches him before he hits the ground.
