Other Mommy Movie Review - Jessica Chastain plays two characters in this new horror film about an evil mommy stalking a girl. The movie makes absolutely zero sense and unfortunately is incredibly light on the kills and scares. It's a real hot mess.

In the book, the dad worked from home and wasn’t a pot head but a really dedicated dad. Why did they change that 🙄

Blumhouse. The McDonalds of Horror. Classic.

I feel like this wasn't called 'Other Mother' because then people would think it's a live-action remake of 'Coraline'.

The book is pretty creepy if I remember. A scene in a bathroom was rather unsettling, as well as a repeated question other mommy asks the girl. Been a couple years but I recall it making sense metaphorically. Great vid as always.

Can't wait for the prequel OTHER GRANDMOTHER where Jessica Chastain's character is a little girl and her mother is the creepy demon thing... played by Jessica Chastain in a wig.

Don’t be jealous Adam… Naps in the afternoon are great. Ha ha and I can take them.

At this point I stay clear of Blumhouse productions. And I love horror movies.

EDEN LAKE (Adam check THAT out, especially as a father of a teen like me)...... As a former teacher, after seeing EDEN LAKE, I'm glad I resigned..... Because it's not the kids in the movie that scared me.... But parents.... Yes, parents like that in EDEN LAKE....exist

What I love about these movies is the one thing the family under siege will never do is leave the house and check into a fancy hotel, even when there is absolutely nothing to stop them. Or maybe what you want is a motel so cheap there are no doors on the closets and you can easily see the entire room plus the bathroom, which is minute, so there is no way anybody can jump scare you.

We saw it and wife said wish we saw "Other Movie"! Effects were good, no story, never knew how this all started or how may stop. Our popcorn was great! 🍿

I saw this last night. The only problem with letting the parents see what’s happening so early on is that you’re left frustrated, wondering why they keep leaving their daughter on her own. The real mum is probably just as horrible as the demon mummy, so you’re left wondering whether the demon might actually be better for her! Not the best film, but my teenagers enjoyed it.
