I feel like any 40yro dating someone who has a mental age of 12 needs to be side eyed

The sister did a very good interview & you can tell she loved Summer. Rest in Heaven dear Summer 💞

Just imagine if he hadn't passed out in that parking lot, and that cop hadn't checked on his vehicle. We may be hearing about a missing person only thus far.

I was married to an abusive addict for 7.5 years and when the ex wife spoke, boy did it give me flash backs. I'm glad I got out and that my kids are ok.

I have a son with developmental delays who is the most innocent, burst of happiness and sunshine. I've had to pull him from public school because even some teachers were taking advantage of his weaknesses and exercising abused of power over him to make him the "example". It would devastate me if someone removed his light from the world. Im so sorry to all who lost Sommer. These amazing souls make the world a far better place. I hope you can still feel her near.

The one thing that was not mentioned about lovely little innocent Summer was that she has the best sister ever. So coherent, caring, clear, concise and smart. A great advocate on the whole!

Summer was so fortunate to have a loving sister like Michelle. My prayers go out to Michelle and all family and friends for healing. Thank you for having Michelle on your show, Lauren.

The way this guy was found with Summer is insane. Thank you for helping us understand this tragic case, Lauren.

IMO Summer’s sister hit it on the head when she said “….being a guardian to a growing adult is difficult….”. One of my kids was in a bad relationship and we were being cut off by the partner. We tried many many times as parents to intervene or have the police intervene and were unfortunately told that without a crime taking place we/they couldn’t do anything because that this adult in “ difficulty to us” is the decision making in his/her life.

I am a survivor of being brutally attacked for hours, and I did go out of my body and stop feeling the pain of the attack. But the next day to weeks later the pain was horrific, especially the broken ribs! Every breath was so painful. My injuries still cause me life long pain physically and mentally.

I work with adults with developmental disabilities. I always worry about their vulnerability. My heart breaks for all who knew Sommer. She sounds like an amazing light in this world. Michelle, you are in my prayers as this case moves forward.

Fkin hell I've had to stop 🛑 5 mins in, to take in the words that a person, deemed to be fully grown and yet of a mental age of 12 yrs old and less than 5 Foot tall, to be found in such a horrendous condition and situation, I truly can't cope. Im an ex lawyer looking to work in social justice and Sommer's story is exactly why I'm gonna be a force in social justice. Fuck everyone and everything for this poor girl's plight I have no words, there are no words....

Lauren is so compassionate with her guests and lets them tell their story. My heart aches for Michelle. Her gratitude for the emergency responders and the ability to have a proper burial despite the horrible circumstances is such an insight to her character. I found that amazing. My daughter will be my son’s guardian when my husband and I are gone and I know the depth of that responsibility and commitment.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your beautiful sister Summer. Her name couldn’t be more apt as she seemed like the brightest ray of sunshine in all of your lives ❤🇮🇪

Letting someone out of rehab for the holidays is very, very bad practice.

HIS PARENTS HAD TO KNOW HE WAS ABUSIVE TO WOMAN. They knew what his ex wife said and they called her bitter. They are terrible ppl to and they are probably 98% of the reason their little baby boy had all the issues he had because they covered for him his whole life I’m sure

What a remarkable family. Michelle is so strong. Thank you, Lauren and Michelle, for sharing Summer with us ❤

This is the most heartbreaking description. Sweet Summer, I hope she gets the justice she deserves! Praying for Summer's family, and anyone who has to see these photos, and hear the testimonies.

I find it hard to listen to such terrible things. I’m absolutely heartbroken that people can do these things to others. 🤦🏽‍♀️💔

OMG! Just the other day her full interview (of the ex wife)popped up and i couldn't stop listening, i was sucked into her story. I had no idea who this womans ex husband was or the poor victim of the story. Wow, this is terribly sad. Thank you for covering this.
What the hell is in the water in Utah?!?
