I read these books in middle school as soon as the paperbacks came out and I loved them. My grandma was a huge Stephen King fan when I was growing up.
I always figured Seth (The Regulators) was likely a powerful Shiner who may have just begun to develop the power to manifest his dreams into reality. Tak must have felt that power, zeroed in on it, and then enhanced it with his own violent twist. Wielding that much Shine also made Seth an ideal host with the resilience to survive Tak's corrupting presence...at least much longer if not indefinitely.

In 1408 I believe there is a reference to Tak. I believe it was in the film, but there's a photograph on the wall that is black smoke coming out of a mountain in the shape of a coyote. I instantly thought it was Tak and the China Pit

... question is if Tak can possess Pennywise... man that'd change things 😅

Tak and the windego are my favorites

Awesome 😊

Love this channel

Loved both books although I preferred Desperation to the Regulators but  it didn't help reading these books that for some reason the only Tak  my brain thinks of with polishing it to focus was Tak Sakaguchi, a Japanese actor who starred in the best Crime/Zombie/Martial Arts movie ever... Also a movie called Death Trance which seemed like a fever dream ... anyway yeah, that's where my mind went every time I heard Tak mentioned.

Would be fun to see Tak drive an Audi into the Innie.

Ron Pearlman 😊 TAK!!

Tak means "yes" in Polish :D totally undermining the demon nature of this entity.

Can de lach! Mi him en tow! En tow!

Pennywise works under another way more powerful entity

Can you please share where you found that exact picture of Tak? I am trying to organize my collection and I need a good clear picture of Tak for desperation and regulators. Thank you!

Tak to me kicks pennywise to the curb with his sadism

I remember reading 'DESPERATION'
AND I'm thinking what is the KaTek. KA TIN IN KAH TEK-TAK... WHATEVER HE WAS SAYING.
IM LIKE....OH....ITS A DEEP POWERFUL ENTITY. NOT HUMAN OR MONSTER. BUT A FORCE. A MALEVOLENT FORCE NOT OF THIS WORLD.

CLUES KEPT PILING UP BUT I FIGIRED HE WOULD EXPLAIN IT ALL IN THE END.

NO SU H EXPLANATION CAME AND I WAS BUMMED. BUT THEN I SEE THE SAME WIERD LANGUAGE COME UP IN OTHER KING BOOKS AND THEN I REALIZE....

HE WILL NEVER FULLY EXPLAIN TAK OR ANY OF THE STUFF SURROUNDING IT AND ITS POWER. ONLY LITTLE CLUES AND CRUMBS.

WHY????

BECAUSE ITS BETTER THAT WAY.

SOME THINGS ARE BEST LEFT MYSTERIOUS ANX UNEXPLAINED.

THIS IS 1 OF THOSE EXAMPLE.

HE STANDS ON THE SHOULDERS OF LOVECRAFT AND MADE AMAZING BOOKS AND MOVIES BECAUSE OF THE MYSTERIOUS, INEFFABLE COSMIC HORROR ENYITY HE CREATED

I really enjoyed these two books. Creepy and intense. However I dont feel SK should bring Tac back. Its unnecessary. He had two exceptional stories. Isn't that enough? Bring forth different characters to scare and thrill us.
Just my personal opinion ..

Tak vs The Crimson King

Its Çak Çakma ÇakAl

If Carrie was a Chosen One I would love to see her Kill this Guy, it would be like Eleven vs Vecna or The Mind Flayer

Remind me Not to read those books. Sounds like a 10th graders short story.
