imagine if the league of assassins were based out of south america instead of the middle east, and ra’s name was “Cabeza Del Demonio”, and some people insisted on pronouncing it “caybeesha”. that’s how it feels when people say “raysh”

Arrowverse does it too. The entirety of Arrow s3, and even the Ra's himself, pronounces it Raas. But then in Legends of Tomorrow, Reverse Flash calls him Raish

This is DC Comics. It's entirely possible over his long life that the guy got curse by a witch or something so that no one can pronounce his name consistently.

Lol I knew this was gonna be about his name, Ive yet to see the full video but it annoys me to no end when people correct it with the wrong pronunciation considering the fact I speak Arabic (or even worse when adaptations call him "Raysh" lol )Also sorry for skimming the vid but around 3:35 there's a typo, you missed the first letter of the word head in arabic (it's correct on the paper you gave to the arabic teacher)

So yeah in arabic it's "رأس الغول" which would be pronounced /rɑːs æl ˈɣuːl/ or ra's (with a stop between the a and the s), not "razz" or "raysh". Thanks for making a video on the subject lol

3:02, It's funny to me how Al Ghul / Ghoul gets translated as 'demon,' while from my understanding in Arabic it's just a specific type of jinn. Demons are called shaytan.
