This is a stone classic Creedence song.  Absolutely top notch.  That reverb on the vocal sounds like it was recorded in a stairwell.

Heard from My Brother in Law who was in Vietnam that this song was played a lot. Classic

La is spot on with the sound. It could have been a crisp recording but John Fogerty produced this to sound like a 1955 Sun Records sound. Slap-back reverb. Vocal overlay. It's gritty. Perfect. Good reaction. Good ears.
