I went to Verbier last week and I would classify myself as a strong beginner/weak intermediate snowboarder.  I had a great time; got some good runs in.

Zermatt used to be a 4.5hr transfer.  Have skied there quite a few times in the '80's.... Verbier, another from the '80's and since those days have skied in many other resorts in Switzerland, France and the Pyranees.  Seem to return to Austria and some of the resorts that are off the radar.  Damuls, Wildshonau, Bad Kleinkircham

5:57 also look out for the sledge track at saalbach

You shouldn't be mixing individual resorts with groups of resorts. It's inconsistent.  Here is my top 15 with the name of the whole group of resorts and the main resort in brackets. I focus on resorts that are higher and have better snow consistency all year round as well as oriented towards expert skiers and freeride (breakdown 6 French, 3 Swiss, 4 Austrian and 2 Italian):
1. Espace Killy (Tignes)
2. Matterhorn Paradise (Zermatt)
3. Four Valleys (Verbier)
4. Three Valleys (Val Thorens)
5. Les Deux Alpes
6. Sölden
7. Ischgl
8. Zillertal (Hintertux)
9. Dolomiti Superski (Val Gardena)
10. Paradiski (Les Arcs)
11. Arlberg (St. Anton)
12. Chamonix (Les Grands Montets/Argentier)
13. Corviglia (St. Moritz)
14. Alpe d'Huez
15. Via Lattea (Sestriere)
Honorable mentions for family friendly resorts - Livigno and Passo Tonale.

1. Three Valleys: Val Thorens, Meribel, Courchevel
2. St Anton am Arlberg
3. Dolomiti Superski: Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba etc.
4. Verbier
5. Val dIsere & Tignes
6. Zermat & Cervinia
7. Ischgl
8. Chamonix
9. Saalbach
10. Zillertal

top 10 lists are always going to be subjective, personally verbier wouldn’t even get in my top 10! I enjoyed your content though (although your pronunciation of some of those french ski resorts needs a bit of work!)
I’d love to see a 3 or four point rating, for example what rating you would give the resort for apres, town, overall skiing, snow sure etc) that way people can decide which one to try based on their most important criteria which in my case is the apres 😂

If you are going to base your score of la plagne based on the total ski pistes, than you should include it as Paradiski in the list, because the pistes of la Plagne alone are only half of the ski area.

Didn't say where most of them were until I saw it on the table...

Thanks

Im allways surprised to see Kitzbühel in such rankings.
In my opinion, Kitzbühel isnt even in Top 10 of austria.

Good list, but no Italy? We've just got back today from Wengen ski area in CH. I'm hoping to go to les 3 valleys

AFFORDABILITY, like sure Verbier is top notch but I rather put a higher score on an affordable ski resort that ppl are missing out on. Problem with Swiss in general is that food and living is also if not more expensive than accommodation, making it just unreasonable. Then the French resorts makes much more sense, if you are early there are plenty of cheap apartments to rent.. . And then we have Italy! Champoluc, Cervinia, Dolomiti Superski, Livingo, Sauze... for me Austria is a no go, boring food relative high prices for less compared to FR and IT.

Val Thorens is pronounced "val torens" - the H is silent.

Kronplatz?

thumbs down and unsubbed for using literal worst AI slop in the first 5 seconds
