I got a non-working guitar cheap on Marketplace. It had been poorly painted, the frets were badly damaged, and the electronics were shoddy. This is my first guitar restoration, and I’ve documented my mistakes and wins both. I hope it appeals to the ASMR crowd too. I get ASMR, but not from these videos. Please comment if you have pointers or criticisms.

Additionally, yeah. Plywood or not you would be better off just using a fine grit sanding technique. It's going to take way longer, but if you don't have patience taking the paint off then you definitely don't have enough patience to put paint back on, so it's better to condition yourself to the waiting game so that you don't have an aneurysm when you try to refinish it later.
