I'm surprised the data sheet didn't include the sight key and pin. I have found a couple of variations in the key (From bevels to field replacement from flat & drilled bar stock) and completely cylinder shaped pins, ones with beveled ends to roll pins being used. (Which seem to work quite well)

Great video

Any info in WW2 Type 3 Bands and Manufacturer stamps?  “Q”, “KI”, “JMO” etc?

Looking at my barrel band for my 1-43 WRA, S# 1033xxx. From what I gather I should have a 1/4” wide sling swivel. Mine seems to measure hand way between the two sizes at around a .295”. It also shows no sign of wear or markings, possibly a replacement or reproduction?

Ok

The diameter of the front sight is ? In mm?

would you know of any m1 carbine  collectors who have any m1 carbines for sale? thanks scott

I own a Winchester M1 with an early stock and bolt. My rear sight has a shield with the letter H inset. (?) My front sight has no markings at all but is a type 3.

I have an Inland 7-43 and would like to know what direction the front sight pin is to be driven to remove. Thanks for the help.

I’m new to the m1 carbine. My front sight is marked J-Q on an underwood 8-43 barrel with a Quality Hardware receiver. What can you tell me about the front sight markings.
