Every time I contemplate the elves of the Third Age, I feel so sad, and you guys just articulated so well the why.

In a game that I play in our Lindon elf is quite old actually. But I don't think it was defined specifically. Probably has seen all three ages of the world

Hearing Kimi talk about this on the advice show has convinced me I need to check it out. Excited to see where this goes!

This has been very helpful, thank you.

Some say aye, some say no, some so high, some so low, some are here, some are there... now to find, us out where...

This is good for me to watch; i want to GM the One Ring, I need to make a adjustments so that people who aren't Tolkien book fans can have fun and creative room. So it's good for me to see a loner hobbit with wanderlust, a dwarf who is into sales but not into crafts, an elf who is engrossed and isolated in shipbuilding - which everyone (!?) sees as akin to coffin-building.... That last one is the hardest one for me - Cai is being inventive and creative here! I appreciate that! - yet the west is also called Elvenhome

Id just like to say (having not finished this and the game being goin for 3 years lol) Gandalf would absolutely "blind date" a group of adventurers together, it's kinda what he didn't to Bilbo and it's what I wanna do whenever I get to run The One Ring

Also, what were the cards y'all used for generating the characters' relationships with each other?

We have a deck called Fatum, but it's mostly just for character generation, specifically 5E DnD. Would love to have a deck like yalls

Do you ever bring in followers for your games as players or GMs?

Kimi actually liked Rings of Power?!
😢 I've found my people!

Not sure about the X cards. I get wanting to make sure your players are comfortable with the content in the game, but not explaining why the card was presented feels kinda...eh.

I always get my players to tell me what they're ok or not ok with. With X cards, not having to discuss what it is that makes you uncomfortable doesn't seem fair. It could be literally anything, and having to start a scene over or throw it out entirely without explanation just feels wrong. Are there rules in place with X cards that keep players from abusing them for kicks or using them to basically save scum the game?
