Baba Is You: The Board Game – Review

🐑 What if you could change the rules of the game… while you’re playing it?

Based on the acclaimed video game, Baba Is You: The Board Game is a competitive 2-player puzzle game designed by Peter C. Hayward and Arvi Teikari and published by *Bitewing Games*. Players manipulate rules directly on the board, creating new possibilities and trying to find a way to make their path to victory.

In this review, I’ll give you an overview of how Baba Is You: The Board Game works, what I think about it, and who I think might enjoy it most.

I like the video game but wasn't sure about the board game. Seems like it does a good job of capturing the essence of the game in a VS. Thanks for the review!

I loved the video game, although it was crazy hard....Probably the hardest video game I've ever played. The board game looks awesome and it's a must play for me.

For the 45 minute game, I’m having a hard time imaging how a game lasts that long. Is it more so turns take longer because you are trying to puzzle out what to do for a while? Because two actions a turn per turn would seem like something that takes less time. Like Shobu has a box time of 20 mins and that’s a puzzle intense game with two actions a turn as well.

You said "...when it comes out." This is a review of a product that doesn't exist yet?
Is this copy a final version or a prototype?

Superb review! I’ve been on the edge of buying this to play with my daughter and this sold me.

I’m going to get an order in and eagerly await it!

Skipping the cons? Brushing past that with “Yeah nothing is perfect but I’m not going to elaborate…” Especially for a game with an upcoming Kickstarter, that immediately seems a betrayal of the reviewer-listener relationship, and casts doubt over the review as a whole. I’m not likely coming back to this channel with a sketchy move like that, and now am going to be having a more wary eye on the KS than before as cool as it looks.
