Tears streamed down Caleb Flynn’s face as he appeared in court for a brief hearing Thursday afternoon.

Flynn was convicted on Tuesday of killing his wife, Ashley Flynn, in their Ohio home in February.

Because he was found guilty of aggravated murder and four other murder convictions, Flynn is required to register as a violent offender.

The judge explained that Flynn will be enrolled in the violent offender database for ten years.  As she asked him questions, Flynn’s voice cracked and he started to cry.

He can file a motion objecting to the registering as a violent offender at or before his sentencing date.

Ashley Flynn’s family was aware of today’s hearing but did not wish to attend, according to prosecutor Paul Watkins.

Flynn is scheduled to be sentenced on Monday. EastIdahoNews.com will livestream the sentencing.
