The darkmen arc was my biggest disappointment and Phaser not staying a villain, to me he works better as a bad guy than a good guy.

How about Top 10 duels we wish we saw in Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush?

7:46 i agree 100% I HATED HER DURING THE TIME MACHINE thing before the sengoku arc just for her character to just END with no duel or anything just a handshake...  man.....

The way the redemtions of the Ohdo twins, especially Yuna's, was handled was a big disapointment because how the resolution was handeled even after all the thing that happened because of them and they were forgiven so easely and both bearly do something to atone for their mistakes.

I'm surprised The Creator didn't make this list at all. When Kuaidul told his backstory in the duel against Yuhi, I was intrigued by his master and always thought that he would have more of a role in the show. But also The Creator was Otes' Earthdama, and I don't think Otes mentions The Creator more than once (if at all) in both shows.
Yuhi and Damamu had an interesting Dynamic as Human and Earthdama.
It makes me wish we had Otes and The Creator as the final villains instead of Otes and Doll. Imagine how those two wouldve been like together.

I honestly think the biggest disappointment for me is the 13 episodes formulaic arcs which also leads into most duels only lasting 1 episode. I honestly believe that at times having longer duels that last 3, 4, or even an occasional 5 Episode duel would have allowed for the backstory of certain characters being explained and certain events

My number 1 is your number 3, funny enough. The Velgearian War/just Velgearian lore in general, was what really drew me into Go Rush and the fact we didn’t get any concrete info, no explanation of who started it, if there was life before it, how Yudias and Zuwijo met, and of course, it being resolved off screen was so disappointing and feels so criminal to have the main premise be under explored .

Like they coulda used the darkmen as the anti-Velgearians as you mentioned and coulda had them be perhaps rejected kartumata who were envious of the Velgearians and wanted them to remain dead. Would have made S3 a lot more interesting!

Top disappointment for me: The Handling Mitsuko in the second half of the show. There was so many ways they could’ve taken her character, but they instead chose to make a recurring joke or shunt her off to the side. As a character who was incredibly loyal and in love with Zwijo, they had him abandon her and proceeded to just make “I Love Him/I Hate Him” jokes instead of focusing on what this could mean for the character. Since they didn’t want to keep her part of his gang, they could’ve instead used her love for Zwijo as a lesson for the audience. Why not tell the audience “Look, you can love someone with all your heart and be willingly to do anything for them, but sometimes that love won’t be reciprocated.”? That’s a very important lesson you could tell people, but rather than try that or anything else, they kept to the “Ha ha, flip flop emotions” gag. Ultimately her final bit in the series is looking for Zwijo in the Sengoku Era only to never even share the screen with him outside of an entire cast shot in the finale. She’s ultimately a character with some pretty good potential, even if she wouldn’t be holding huge plot significance, yet as the show went on, Go Rush dropped the ball.

The Otes thing is honestly more egregious to me when you realise that Seasons 1 and 2 were teasing and hinting that it was likely Yuga who is Otes

I genuinely believe that originally, Otes was meant to be Yuga but for whatever reason, they changed course and backed out of it. But not having a confirmed identity (or at least confirmed for the GO RUSH!! universe) is just bizarre

I did like Go Rush but I have my disappointments as well:
1.The Sevens Lore didn't get a conclusion
2. Most of the secondary cast (specifically the "counterparts") were a downgrade compared to sevens's
3. The script decisions about Yuga (there are many things that could go better...)
4. Although this one being very personal, it piss me off that we never got a "Galaxy Eyes" or "Neo Space" retrain in the series, I mean, come on, a big part of the show ends up taking place in space, am I the only one seeing it?
Thank you, have a nice duelay.

My Top 5 Most disappointments in Go Rush:

1. No Yuga vs Yudias duel
2. Otes
3. The Mystery Girl's identity
4. Damamu's role
5. Yuamu being the Dark Meister

For me , I’m saying a huge disappointment is how Yudias’ “angry arc” ended

Yudias went through a lot

Yuamu turned against him becoming the Dark Meister

Yuhi became Otes to protect his sister and effectively turned on Yudias

Zwijo turned on him and served the Dark Meister to block The Velgearian’s revival as he saw their deaths as natural

Kuaidul mentally tortured him and forced him to “grow” to get him ready to face Yuhi Otes

All these betrayals, the things he’s experienced and things done to him, I’m not surprised he became angry , not just due to the Ritual, but all it took was an apology from Yuhi and Yuamu for Yudias to be ok

Kuaidul and Zwijo never apologised

I’d have loved to see the Ritual corrupt Yudias too much and maybe have either Zwijo,Yuamu,Yuhi or Kuaidul (or all 4 if we have a ZARC -style duel) duel Yudias to bring him back to himself and maybe have them apologise during the duel . Yudias could be too far gone to accept at first but comes round eventually 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

season 2 should have been about Velgearian war then season 3 about Kuaidul and Creator

It took me 20 years to realize this: but one of my older brother's friends from Elementary is named Chazz, the latter's little brother (who was also a friend of mine) is named Zane, and all four of us watched 'Yu-Gi-Oh! GX' at one point in our childhoods.

I feel like the Go Rush answer of ‘Who is Otes’ is kind of like 5D’s answer to ‘Who is Z-One’ where we (at least I did) thought both were the main character, but they both turned out to be some random guy

-Lack of counterpart duels
One of the reasons I actually enjoy the Gakugen episode is because it actually gave us one the ancestor concept wasn't fully realized without more of them we really only got 2

-the identity of this Otes, I get him being a concept but with them showing other specific people as Otes I was hoping we'd find out even if it was someone we'd never seen before as a joke and his original backstory was just true

-Energy Copiko, we needed more of her

-No Maximum for Yuamu, they had Blue-Eyes Ultimate RIGHT THERE to base it on with Bluetooth or just give her the Red-Eyes one they already made, or have her make one out of dark matter to use as the Dark Meister if they didn't want to make one for her Dragon deck

-No Galaxy-Eyes expy for Yuamu, Galaxy-Note Pulse Dragon done

-Who is Yuga's (insert whatever amount of great's) grandfather, this wouldn't have been on my list if they didn't make an episode about who Yuamu will get with but with no answer

-No Yuga vs Yudias duel

The fact 1 we never got to find out who otes is and we didn't get more comedic moments with zwijo .

We all remember the card pack episode where they make a big deal about opaning the pack

I think At least yudias status as an alien was exposed since the beginning would have hated it if it was treated like playmaker identity and the world never found out

I'm also really disappointed we never got to see yuga meeting with his friends the reunion scene between them could have been so good but instead we just got the confirmation that yuga made it home, another of my disappointed was like you said otes we never get to know anything about him and then there is also that whole thing with the space dragon race being the creator of the universe that we never get yo know anything about

Agree with all of them. One thing i would add that i wanted was for Luke and the rest of the SEVENS gang to return. But for some reason, the writers decided to send the GR cast to the past. Wasted potential to the max. Bridge is the best at subverting your expectations but in a bad way
