This Video Took So Much Longer Than I Thought It Would To Make! Drop A Sub To Make Sure You Don't Miss Yu-Gi-Oh! GX BOSS Monsters!!!

Summon 3 blues eyes what the hell is the opponent is to suppose to do?
Mirror force: am I a joke to you?

i would argue that Red-Eyes is actually the best representation of Joey. The ultimate gambler won his ace in a bet.

Totally forgot they are separated from Ace Monster nice catch my friend

For Johnson, I think it makes sense for Judge Man to be his Boss Monster, since even though he never summoned himself, he primarily relied on his Deck Master Ability “Clear The Courtroom”.

"Why, she even defeated Jean Claude Magnum. And then nobody else ever again, but she defeated Jean Claude Magnum, man!"

Kuriboh is not a boss monster.
Kuriboh is not an ace monster.
Kuriboh is DA monster.
Doo da lala la la laaa

8:30 I’ll just mention that XYZ-Dragon Cannon did beat Pegasus in the Pyramid of Light.

Gotta love the boss monsters!

Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon may not have any abilities or cool protections...but it does look really cool and hits really hard.

30:13  Lmfao! Johnny Steps' Boss monster is still one of the most hilarious and baffling fusion monsters in ALL of Yu-Gi-Oh!! 😂

For the argument and grey areas for which monsters are the "boss monster" I think a better way to look at it, rather than being "is this the card that facilitates the win condition" is "is this the monster that needs to be beaten to win rhe duel".

Using crump as an example.  The torpedo penguin was the win condition for him, but that was such a tiny monster it could easily be taken out and he could pivot to another strategy.  Whereas the defender iceberg, that's a monster that has to be dealt with in order for the opponent to win.  It's the final boss, to say in game terms.

Of course we have to analyze hypothetical situations instead of just specific duels.  Bandit Keith, for example, his boss monster is barrel dragon, even though the final card joey had to get over was the slot machine.  In most duels, barrel dragon would be the final, biggest threat you'd have to overcome.

This is also why I dont like classing monsters like Lava Golem as boss monsters because you cant really summon them to your field. If anything it's now kind of a problem that you have to deal with rather than your opponent

My favourite boss monster from Duel Monsters is Dark Paladin. The design looks awesome and it’s a cool card. Looking forward to the rest of the shows being covered in this series.

18:10 The funniest thing about this statement is that Harpies ended up being so strong in RUSH DUELS that in the most recent banlist from just a couple of days ago they had to be hit like Tearlaments

Fun fact: Waking the Dragon wasn't the first time we saw Dragon Master Knight. Both of it's appearances were filler arcs.

Edit: I also made a joke a while ago that F.G.D. aka Five-Headed Dragon was the Filler Arc Boss monster of Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters. Except for the Orichalcos Arc, it was the boss monster or made a major appearance in EVERY Filler Arc.

Bakura - at least in his most iconic duels - really didn't have a boss monster, nor did he often reuse strategies.

In Duelist Kingdom, he was running hand control/burn, in the Battle City semifinals, he used an alternative win condition, and in Millennium World, he was attempting a deck-out strategy.

Honestly, I would consider Diabound his real ace monster, but if you don't count the Bandit King Bakura's shadow games as "duels" then I can understand why you'd gravitate towards something else.

Day 734 of asking Sam to cover Jack vs. Carly.

9:22 Cemetery of Fire goes WAY HARDER than anything from Yu-GI-Oh should. Holy shit, that’s such a badass name for an attack.

A reason why I like flame swordsman as Joey's Ace more is because that makes the trifecta of the Warrior the dragon. And the magician. And I would have loved if Joey had a spell card. That just special summit of fire lv 5 fusion monster from an E deck then dell damage to your opponent equal to the attack

Weird red-eyes black metal dragon didnt get mentioned but is on the thumbnail. Obviously it wasnt the best card in the waking the dragons arc but it was def his best boss in duelist kingdom if we exclude BSD

A case could be made for Time Wizard being Joeys boss monster in Duelist Kingdom (pre Red-Eyes for sure). It won him his first two duels and would've beat Yugi IF Yugi had any other monster on the field other than Dark Magician.
