Bruh yeah that last one DON'T EVER BRING IN A STUDENT WITHOUT TEACHING THEM TO CHILL OUT FIRST XD holy hell that poor dude with the screwdriver in his hip

6:50 : reason Jason clocked the lie so fast is because you can see from outside the impact on the windshield is on the passenger side, not the driver side.

19:40 For that very last one, with the medic trainee with the social awareness of a concussed wombat, somebody in the comment section said, "Bet he didn't pass his medical training." And FDC himself responded with, "He in fact did not."

So, you know, that's a relief.

I love how in the first clip he's supposed to be playing a kid but still has his wedding ring on.

4:20 fun fact, in a video about following up with the real people, he revealed that this was based on what happened to him when he was a teenager, he got his hand cut open after a dishwashing miscommunication.

Guys if they need to cut your ring off, let them, a jeweller can usually fix it.

1:41 Counterpoint, that's an awful place to get shot, even if it is a graze, cause now you're gonna be in SO much pain doing, anything.
Sitting down? bum hurty. Moving around? bum hurty (depending on where the wound is), and you certainly won't want to be moving fast cause that make bum hurty even more. Laying down? bum hurty. You sneeze or cough? Bum REALLY hurty cause everything tenses up down there. Also I can't imagine pooping is going to be much fun.
Source: I had to have surgery down there for an infection and had healing open wounds down there and LET ME TELL YOU, you don't realize how much your tush cushion does for you or is connected to till everything you do makes it hurt.

13:06 honestly that's a good question. The Epley Maneuver is simple enough that you can do it yourself in less than a minute. It's just a quick series of motions meant to use inertia to encourage the loose crystal back to where its supposed to be.

Everybody in the healthcare field in taught "bedside manners." Basically, you are to be professional and calm no matter how horrendous the situation may be.

In the US if someone refuses to go to the hospital and they are not in any immediate danger the EMTs will have them sign a Rufusal of Service Form that clears the EMTs of any legal responsibility.

3:29 YES!! I say that EVERY TIME I see this short! It was right there! He's a cruel cruel man.

10:20 they probably have him sign some kind of refusal form since he refuses to go to the hospital and it’s not a life threatening injury.

7:00 Yeah if you look closely at the start of the clip, you can see that the windshield on the passenger side has a huge, head sized crack in it, while the driver's side is unharmed. So yeah, the driver didn't get hurt but the passenger did and he moved him to try and get out of trouble.

They try, but not everyone actually applies the lesson not to panic in front of the patient when dealing with a real scenario, like being stabbed with a screwdriver. The immediate what the fuck panic reaction is still there, unrestrained and untempered.

Taking a screwdriver to the back isn’t what he meant by getting screwed.
I think he wanted the DRINK, screwdriver

students are like todlers, they have no filter

The students in all of these skits go through hell. Sad part is I understand every mistake they make, too. You don't really understand what a defibrillator does until you use one. You need practice to deal with the public. It takes time to turn off the parts of your brain that freak out seeing an injury (which is why someone said they let the last one out too early)

KLAUS MENTIONED!!!

I was an acting safety&regulatory officer for a synthetic rubber plant in Kansas.  I wish I could have used that very memorable and hilarious video in training!  Alas, I was limited to "approved" videos, that mostly put the viewers to sleep.

Lol the student panic thing happens at every healthcare job to some degree. I'm a psychologist and I've trained a few during my years in pediatrics, it's usually not a super big deal but they really need to get used to staying calm even in situations when bad things happen, such as a kid suggesting self harm. At that point they don't need a psychologist breaking down because a kid would hurt themselves, they need a stable adult that handles the information given to them and acts upon it with integrity and kindness.

People call ambus for the stupidest shit it's not always an emergency some get transported from a place to home in them sometimes too which is WILD
