25 years in planning, 8 years in development, plays and feels like it came out 15 years ago.

Starfield is proof that not even a brand new IP could motivate Bethesda to innovate and try something new.

"...Bethesda's biggest game ever. Yet it somehow feels like the smallest". What an excellent way to describe the feeling of playing Starfield.

My excitement for Elder Scrolls 6 died swiftly.

The most groundbreaking aspect of Starfield is how it makes a game from 16 years ago (Mass Effect) feel like it is still ahead of its time.

Always remember when you buy a game at launch, you’re paying the most money for the worst version!

Joe being drafted into an undercover mission because he stole a drink is hilarious.

Me playing Morrowind in 2003: Wow, imagine the massive fantastic worlds and imaginative stories Bethesda can create in 20 years, when technology allows them to fully realize their ambitions! This is going to be so awesome!
Bethesda in 2023:

Todd Howard told Microsoft when they acquired Bethesda that the game was ready to go. Microsoft took one look and told him it needed two more years. I SHUDDER to think what hot garbage Howard was ready to serve.

Sipping on someones drink to then be selected for an undercover special forces mission because of your criminal record is like its straight out of a SpongeBob episode😂

It absolutely blows my mind that they created the PERFECT system to allow us to play however we want with the NG+ and yet this game is the MOST restrictive Bethesda RPG to date.

The drink stealing is almost at south park level ridiculousness

Starfield is another game in the laundry list of proof that 10 hours of tight, well written, and impactful content is always better than 10 hours of that same content in between 990 hours of pointless junk

The bottleneck is no longer technological. Its creativity.

I think Joe said it well. About 10 hours into the game I felt like I was doing a job, not playing a game.

The real shocker is that this engine will also be used in Elder Scrolls 6, coming out in a few years. It's going to be so behind the times it's absurd.

Starfield should have been one fully explorable solar system. Imagine like 4 or 5 fully handcrafted planets, alongside a couple of moons. Would have been legendary. Instead... we got this.

Starfield is like that last minute high school project you stayed up all night doing when you had months to work on it

"when astronauts went to the Moon there was nothing there and they weren't bored"

Because that was fucking real life! Being on the surface of the moon in real life, seeing it with your own eyes, is way more exciting than being on a fake virtual planet in a video game
